Abstract: Described herein are photocurable compositions,
(A) a polyester urethane acrylate, or methacrylate (A),
(B) an acrylamide, or methacrylamide component (B), and
(C) a photoinitiator (C), where the polyester urethane acrylate, or methacrylate (A) is obtained by reacting (A1) a hydroxyalkylacrylate, or hydroxyalkylmethacrylate, (A2) an aliphatic diisocyanate, an aliphatic polyisocyanate, a cycloaliphatic diisocyanate, a cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate, an aromatic diisocyanate, or an aromatic polyisocyanate, or mixtures thereof, (A3) a polyester polyol, and (A4) optionally a second polyol.
The compositions, from which cured three-dimensional shaped articles having high toughness, high E modulus and impact strength can be made, are particularly suitable for the production of three-dimensional articles by stereolithography.-

Abstract: A method for producing a shaped body, containing: producing the shaped body from a composition by a powder-based layer construction process, wherein the composition contains a thermoplastic polyurethane, obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate composition and a polyol composition, the thermoplastic polyurethane is solid at least in a temperature region below 50° C. and has end groups selected from the group consisting of first end groups and second end groups, wherein the first end groups are optionally eliminated at a first temperature, and the second end groups are optionally eliminated at a second temperature, to form reactive groups on the thermoplastic polyurethane that optionally enter into a reaction with functional groups of the thermoplastic polyurethane or functional groups of a further component of the composition, and wherein the first temperature and the second temperature are each greater than or equal to 60° C.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a polyisocyanate polyaddition product, obtained or obtainable according to a process containing reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition (C-I) comprising at least one polyisocyanate; and a composition (C-II) comprising at least one compound (C-A) having at least two functional groups which are reactive towards isocyanate groups, wherein the compound (C-A) has a molecular weight of 500 g/mol or more and comprises polycyclic aromatic moieties. Abstract: A flexible discontinuous process produces a series of at least two articles containing thermally insulating polyurethane foam from at least three streams (A), (B) and (C). The process involves mixing the at least three streams with different mixing ratios and injecting the mixture into cavities of the articles. A production unit can be used for performing this process.

Abstract: Described herein is a process for preparing a polyurethane elastomer including the steps of (A) preparing an isocyanate prepolymer (a), where the isocyanate prepolymer has an isocyanate content in the range of ≥1 wt.-% to ≤9 wt.-%, and (B) preparing a reaction mixture by mixing at least one epoxy compound (b) with the isocyanate prepolymer (a) in presence of at least one catalyst (c), and where the amount of the alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt is 0.00001 to 0.1 mol per kg of the total weight of the isocyanate prepolymer (a), the epoxy compound (b) and the catalyst (c), and heating the mixture to at least 80° C. to obtain the polyurethane elastomer. Also described herein are a polyurethane elastomer obtained by process and a method of using the polyurethane elastomer as part of a roller or as a sealant.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a composition for stabilizing a geological formation in oil fields, gas fields, water pumping fields, mining or tunnel constructions. The composition has a hardening temperature in the range from about 40° C. to about 120° C. and can therefore be used to stabilize a geological formation in oil fields, gas fields, water pumping fields as well as in mining or tunnel constructions.
