Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for producing polyurethanes including mixing (a) polyisocyanate, (b) polymeric compounds having isocyanate-reactive groups, (c) catalysts and optionally (d) blowing agents, (e) chain-extending and/or crosslinking agents and (f) auxiliaries and/or additives to afford a reaction mixture and reacting the reaction mixture to afford polyurethane. The polymeric compounds having isocyanate-reactive groups (b) are a polyesterol (b1) obtainable by polycondensation of an acid component with an alcohol component. The acid component includes malonic acid and/or derivatives thereof and the alcohol component includes an aliphatic dialcohol having 4 to 12 carbon atoms. The present disclosure further relates to a polyurethane obtainable by such a process and to a method of using in enclosed spaces.

Abstract: The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition comprising at least one polyisocyanate, at least one chain extender, and at least one polyol composition, wherein the polyol composition comprises at least one polyester polyol (P1) which is obtainable by reacting an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 2 to 12 carbon atoms and a mixture (M1) comprising propane-1,3-diol and a further diol (D1) having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, preferably butane-1,4-diol. The present invention also relates to a preparation process for such thermoplastic polyurethanes and also to the use of a thermoplastic polyurethane according to the invention or of a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process according to the invention for the production of extrusion products, films and shaped bodies or for the production of polymer compositions.

Also described herein is a process for producing such a moisture-curing polyurethane hot-melt adhesive and a method of using the moisture-curing polyurethane hot-melt adhesive in bonding of substrates.

Abstract: Described herein is a compact polyurethane having a density of ≥850 g/l, obtainable by reacting at least the components: i) a polyisocyanate composition; and ii) a polyol composition, including at least one polyether polyol (ii.1) which is obtainable by reacting ii.1.1) a polyol starter with a functionality of 3 to 6 with ii.1.2) propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide, in the presence of a boron-based, fluorine-containing Lewis acid catalyst (ii.1.3), where the polyether polyol (ii.1) has an equivalent molecular weight of 50 to 150 g/mol, and ii.1.4) optionally further auxiliaries and/or additives. Also described herein are a process for producing such a compact polyurethane and compact polyurethanes obtainable by this process. Also described herein is a method of using such a compact polyurethane for the production of a fiber composite. Also described herein are a corresponding fiber composite material and a process for producing such a fiber composite.
