Abstract:
Systems and methods for wireless network selection based on attributes stored in a network database are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method comprises receiving a network identifier associated with a wireless network, determining if a network profile associated with the network identifier is stored within a network profile database comprising a plurality of network profiles, and if the network profile associated with the network identifier is stored within the network profile database, retrieving the network profile, or if the network profile associated with the network identifier is not stored within the network profile database, initiating the network profile, obtaining an attribute associated with the network device identifier, and storing the attribute within the network profile.
Abstract:
Mono, bis and tris(substituted 2,2'-bipyridine) complexes of iron, ruthenium, osmium or vanadium are described wherein the bipyridine is substituted by a hydroxy or alkoxy group, or a primary, secondary or tertiary amine group.
Abstract:
A multi-stage differential amplifier and method provides a gain versus frequency warping response characteristic that equalizes a transmission line of a given length to compensate for frequency-dependent attenuation. The warping response characteristic comprises the inverse of the attenuation versus frequency characteristic of the line, and affords a substantially flat system gain response over a predetermined frequency spectrum. The individual amplifier stages employ operational amplifiers, and are designed using SPICE simulations such that the individual responses of the stages are tailored so they combine to provide the required overall warping response to compensate the line.
Abstract:
Nucleic acid sequences mediating chemical compound induced 5-aminolevulinate synthase gene (ALAS1) expression are disclosed. Said sequences comprise at least a DR-4 binding site. Furthermore, in vitro methods for testing chemical compounds for modulation of heme and/or P 450 cytochromes synthesis are described.
Abstract:
The method of fusing thermoplastic resin toner images to a substrate in a fuser including a heated thermally stable FKM hydrofluoroelastomer fusing surface at elevated temperature prepared in the absence of anchoring sites for a release agent of heavy metals, heavy metal oxides, or other heavy metal compounds forming a film of a fluid release agent on the elastomer surface of an amino functional oil having the formula: ##STR1## where 50.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.200, p is 1 to 5, and R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are alkyl or arylalkyl radicals having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, R.sub.4 is an alkyl or arylalkyl radicals having 1 to 18 carbon atoms and a polyorganosiloxane chain having 1 to 100 diorganosiloxy repeat units, and R.sub.5 is hydrogen, alkyl or arylalkyl radicals having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, the oil having sufficient amino functionality per active molecule to interact with the hydrofluoroelastomer surface in the absence of a heavy metal and heavy metal anchoring sites to provide an interfacial barrier layer to the toner and a low surface energy film to release the toner from the surface; contacting the toner image on the substrate with the filmed heated elastomer surface to fuse the toner iage to the substrate and permitting the toner to cool.
Abstract:
A shipping package (1) comprises an enclosure for receiving content within, a closure (14) for sealing the enclosure, a label comprising shipping information, a network module (380), a sensor module (382), and a battery module (384). The battery module provides power to the network module and the sensor module. The sensor module (382) providing location information to the network module, the network module transmits a shipping status message to an external device.
Abstract:
Methods are disclosed to treat or prevent at least one disease or condition in a subject in need thereof comprising administering a compound of Formula (I): or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or ester thereof, wherein R1 and R2 are independently chosen from a hydrogen atom or linear, branched, and/or cyclic C1-C6 alkyl groups, with the proviso that R1 and R2 are not both hydrogen or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof. Such diseases or conditions may relate to coronary heart disease (CHD), for example atherosclerosis; metabolic syndrome/insulin resistance; and/or a dyslipidemic condition such as hypertriglyceridemia (HTG), elevated LDL-cholesterol, elevated total-cholesterol, elevated Apo B and low HDL-cholesterol.The present disclosure further provides for a method of reducing atherosclerosis development. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound of Formula (I) are also disclosed.

Abstract:
A rack includes a loading chute into which products are loaded in a generally horizontal face-down orientation, and a dispensing chute defining a dispensing aperture at the front side of the rack. A cam is disposed at the rear end of the loading chute to tilt a product into an upright orientation and to position the upright product with the front face facing forward. The cam also slopes downwardly in a lateral direction so as to move the upright product onto the rear end of the dispensing ramp with the front face still facing forward. The product slides down the dispensing ramp and is stopped by a stop positioned adjacent the dispensing aperture. By virtue of the rack's design, facilitated by the specially designed cam, the upright product is positioned with its front face facing forward such that a consumer can view any indica thereon.
