A solid state imaging device which has excellent color loss resistance and heat resistance is provided. A coloring composition of the present invention includes a resin (A) having a dye structure in which a peak area occupied by a component having a molecular weight of 2000 or less is below 10% in respect to a peak area of a total molecular weight distribution of the resin (A) which is measured using gel permeation chromatography.
