Abstract:
A process for the transfer color printing of synthetic textile materials which comprises placing a transfer material which carries a colored pattern derived from one or more disperse dyestuffs each containing at least one carboxylic acid group in contact with a synthetic textile material and heating the transfer material and the synthetic textile material while in contact so as to transfer the dyestuff from the transfer material to the synthetic textile material.
Abstract:
A glenosphere includes a body, a first surface, a second surface, a cavity defined within the body, and a plurality of channels. The body defines a central axis passing through the body. The first surface includes a first rim and a second rim. The first rim is positioned radially outward from the second rim relative to the central axis. The second surface extends from the first rim of the first surface. The second surface has a convex shape. The cavity has a perimeter defined by the second rim and is configured to receive an attachment structure attachable to a bone. The plurality of channels extend from the first surface through the body to the second surface. Each channel defines a first opening positioned on the first surface between the first rim and the second rim and defines a second opening positioned on the second surface. Each channel is configured to receive a bone fixation member configured to secure the glenosphere to the bone.
Abstract:
A joint prosthesis system, specifically a shoulder prosthesis, for shoulder replacement, revision and repair. The implants provide fixation into the best bone available to a surgeon. The implants are used in a superior-inferior and anterior-posterior construct forming a type of cross or X-shape. The implants allow for interchangeability of the articulating component as well as rotational orientation. The systems will allow for augments to accommodate bone loss. The implants may allow for additional security using screws or anchors inserted into the scapula.
Abstract:
Apparatus for classifying a ray is disclosed, wherein the ray is received at a code division multiple access receiver. The apparatus comprises: means for receiving a neighbouring cell list comprising at least information concerning scrambling codes used by, and timing information concerning at least one neighbouring cell; means for selecting a cell from the neighbouring cell list, the cell having associated therewith one or more scrambling codes; means for determining whether the number of cells in the neighbouring cell list exceeds a threshold; means responsive to a positive determination for attempting to classify the ray to the selected cell without utilising means for mixing a received signal with a scrambling code; and means responsive to a negative determination for mixing a received signal with a scrambling code used by the selected cell to provide a mixed signal, and for examining the mixed signal to determine if the ray originates from the cell.
Abstract:
A method of classifying a ray is disclosed, the ray being received at a code division multiple access receiver. The method comprises: determining if a timing characteristic of the ray falls within a predetermined range of a timing characteristic of a ray classified to a given cell; in response to a positive determination, mixing a received signal with a scrambling code used by the given cell to provide a mixed signal; and examining the mixed signal to determine if the ray originates from the given cell.
Abstract:
Cable system for use with an overhead door comprising: a header bracket; a floor assembly; at least one cable having a first end attached to the header bracket and a second end attached to the floor assembly.
Abstract:
A joint prosthesis includes a head component that is engaged to a bone stem through a mounting element. The mounting element is configured for articulating engagement with the stem to permit angular positioning of the head component in multiple degrees of freedom. The mounting element is fastened to the stem by a press-fit engagement and a separate mechanical fastener.

Abstract:
A system for, and method of, automatically generating a hierarchical register consolidation structure. In one embodiment, the system includes: (1) a graph generator that parses a High-level Design Language (HDL) file to generate an intermediate graph containing definitions of microprocessor-accessible registers, node interrelationships and summary bits and masks associated with alarm registers, (2) a graph converter, associated with the graph generator, that selectively adds virtual elements and nodes to the intermediate graph to transform the intermediate graph into a mathematical tree and (3) a description generator, associated with the graph converter, that employs the mathematical tree to generate a static tree description in a programming language suitable for use by a device-independent condition management structure.
Abstract:
The present invention is an apparatus and method for improving the detection of the inductance "signal" generated by an inductive plethysmograph (12). Signal detection is improved by modifying the design of the inductive plethysmograph (12) and also by improving the design of the associated circuitry. By virtue of these improvements, the associated circuitry may be located remotely rather than on the transducer, as is the current practice. In one aspect of the invention, the impedance matching transformer (14) joining the inductive plethysmograph (12) to the oscillator (16) is selected such that the inductance of its primary winding is greater than about ten times the reflected inductance of the inductive plethysmograph (12) and the cable (24) joining it to the transformer (14). In accordance with another aspect of the invention, the inductive plethysmograph (12) is modified such that the conductor (20) incorporated therein encircles the relevant body portion a plurality of times. In yet a further aspect of the invention, the cable (24) connecting the inductive plethysmograph (12) to the transformer (14) is selected such that the ratio of the diameter of its screen to the diameter of its center conductor is minimized for reducing the inductance per unit length thereof.
