Abstract:
A sinter magnet based on Fe-Nd-B with improved coercive field strength and reduced temperature dependency thereof consists of 25 to 50 wt. % Nd, 0.5 to 2 wt. % B, 0 to 5 wt. % Al, 0.5 to 3 wt. % O, remainder Fe and usual impurities and has an oxygen content which is adjusted by the addition of oxygen or of oxygen-containing compounds, especially of an Al and/or Nd oxide, before the dense sintering. It is obtainable by the melting together of the pure components with formation of a pre-alloy, pulverisation of the pre-alloy, alignment of the powder in a magnetic field and pressing to a green formed body, sintering at 1040.degree. to 1100.degree. C. and subsequent annealing at 600.degree. to 700.degree. C., whereby one adds the oxygen as Al or Nd oxide or via the grinding and/or sintering atmosphere.
Abstract:
A planar polarographic probe for determining the .lambda. value of gas mixtures, in particular of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines, having at least the following units: a pumping cell (A), a diffusion unit (B) with a diffusion resistance preceding a pumping electrode of the pumping cell (A) and, if necessary, a heating unit (C) is proposed in which the diffusion resistance of the diffusion unit (B) is formed by a preshaped body which becomes porous on sintering and which is inserted into the unsintered probe.Such a polarographic probe enables a sensor to be constructed in a simple manner which is particularly suitable for production, with increased reproducibility of the diffusion resistance.
Abstract:
A new pharmaceutical formulation as well as a process for its preparation are described, in which the active ingredient in one pharmaceutical form is present in retarded release form in one part, and in another part is present in a form resistant to gastric juices.
Abstract:
In public videotex (Btx) terminals, different pages are displayed successively on the screen in the off-line mode (e.g., advertisements and user instructions). To be able to update such off-line pages at low cost, a page memory in the terminal is constructed as a random-access memory (46). A central operating facility contains an editing device in which the information and control characters required to display an off-line page are produced. These characters are transmitted to the terminal and written into the random-access memory (46). This may be effected automatically when the supply voltage is turned on.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of dehydrated base products for thickened soups and sauces which disperse readily in hot water and form thick, creamy, lump-free products. The product is prepared by combining a starchy material with an edible fat into a homogeneous mixture. Water is added to the mixture which may also contain milk proteins. The mixture is then subjected to heat treatment, cooled and grated. Optionally the homogeneous mixture is heated under elevated pressure.
Abstract:
A machine for sewing together two workpiece parts having edges of equal or unequal length by using a bead seam, especially for joining together the edge of a vamp and the shorter edge of a plug of a true moccasin shoe, so that the length of the plug matches that of the longer edge of the vamp, in only one operation. The bead seam forming device essentially consists of an auxiliary folding and ruffling finger acting in front of the needle of the sewing machine and in synchronous driving connection with the needle; several machines are described which are provided with different bead seam forming devices.
Abstract:
A method and an administration system (CCMS) are proposed for monitoring of disposal processes for funds (GM) which are accepted by at least one money acceptance system (CP) and which are removed from the monetary cycle, wherein inventory data (B1, B2) about the disposed funds (GM) are detected. The administration system (CCMS) has a first data interface (IF1) in order to receive first inventory data (B1) from the at least one money acceptance system (CP) and has a second data interface disposal device (WTU) which disposes of the funds (GM) from the monetary cycle. In addition, the administration system (CCMS) has at least one computing unit which compares the first and the second inventory data (B1, B2) with each other, and depending on this comparison, generates results data (R) for at least one device (BK) which administers the ownership of the funds (GM).
Abstract:
A method and a system for quantifying anaesthesia and/or a state of vigilance (e.g. monitoring sedation or sleep) from a plurality of parameters acquired from a subject allows to determine an indicator that reliably quantifies the hypnotic component of anaesthesia and/or the state of vigilance and/or the analgesic component of anaesthesia, even if the number of parameters varies while monitoring the subject. Preferably, a first sub-indicator based on a first subset of parameters adapted to characterise a boundary region between consciousness and unconsciousness is determined, and a second sub-indicator based on a second subset of parameters adapted to characterise a level of hypnosis of said subject is determined, and said first sub-indicator and said second sub-indicator are then combined to compute a global indicator value.
Abstract:
Architecture that expresses scene composition and animation in a form that can run entirely on the graphics processing unit (GPU). The architecture stores retained graph information (e.g., scene graph and animation information) as texture information, and uses shaders (e.g., vertex and pixel) to evaluate time information, evaluate animation, evaluate transforms, and rasterize paths. Additionally, the architecture provides the ability to compute animation positions and redraw entirely on the GPU without per primitive CPU intervention.
