Abstract: A bicycle carrier system for a vehicle includes a guide rail provided on a bumper back beam and formed to extend in forward and backward directions, a carrier portion connected to the guide rail to be slidably drawn out or accommodated along the guide rail, an extended support portion installed on the carrier portion to extend or return in both side directions to carry a bicycle, a motor module installed on the carrier portion and including a first driving portion to enable the carrier portion to move along the guide rail and a second driving portion to extend/return the extended support portion, and a communication control module to store a drawing/accommodating command of the carrier portion and an extending/returning command of the extended support portion and to control operation of the first driving portion and the second driving portion in accordance with an input signal.

Abstract: A carrier apparatus for a vehicle is disposed on a bumper back beam in the rear part of a vehicle. The carrier apparatus normally is not exposed externally, and is withdrawn from the bumper back beam such that a bicycle can be loaded thereon when the bicycle is required to be loaded. It is thereby possible to preserve a vehicle's aesthetic exterior appearance and improve convenience. When the carrier is withdrawn, the license plate and the fixing bar rotate in concert with each other. When the carrier is retracted, the fixing bar and the license plate are folded together. Consequently, convenience is further increased, thereby improving the marketability of the carrier apparatus.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a bumper back beam for vehicles is provided. The method includes shaping a planar strip using a pressing process and a planar surface component are formed within a central portion of the strip in a longitudinal direction thereof, and recessed components are formed on opposite sides of the planar surface part, and a first flange is formed on an exterior edge of each recessed component. Further, each of the recessed components are bent vertically around a bending boundary line formed between the planar surface component and the corresponding recessed component and the opposite first flanges contact the planar surface component. Additionally, the edges of the opposite first flanges are welded to the planar surface component and the back beam has a pair of closed section components defined by the planar surface component and the recessed components.

Abstract: In an embodiment, an energy harvesting apparatus includes a housing, a blade, and a power generation unit, which may include a power generation motor and a piezoelectric power generator. In the energy harvesting apparatus according to an embodiment, electrical energy can be generated by rotation of a blade by a slipstream generated during travel of a mobility vehicle. Electrical energy can be additionally generated by pressure and impact generated during rotation of the blade. When the blade is rotated at high speed as the driving speed of the mobility vehicle increases, pressure and impact can be reduced, thereby preventing damage to the blade or a piezoelectric element and thus improving the durability thereof.
