Abstract: Disclosed herein is a control apparatus and method for improving fuel efficiency in a CACC system, which can improve fuel efficiency through control of a vehicle speed so that a vehicle travels using an optimized cost in consideration of a target vehicle speed, current vehicle speed, minimum driving speed set in the vehicle, and a deceleration distance if the vehicle that uses the CACC system senses a forward vehicle and enters into a CACC active mode. The control method for improving fuel efficiency in a CACC system includes setting a target speed profile based on a target speed of the subject vehicle and an expected driving path, determining whether a target vehicle to be followed by the subject vehicle exists, and controlling the driving speed of the subject vehicle according to the set target speed profile depending on whether or not the target vehicle exists.

Abstract: An apparatus for operating a pedestrian detection and collision mitigation system (PDCMS) function of a vehicle includes: a front detection sensor detecting a presence of a pedestrian on a driving lane of the vehicle and a distance and a relative speed between the pedestrian and the vehicle; a vehicle sensor detecting a speed of the vehicle; an electronic control unit operating a PDCMS function based on information detected by the front detection sensor and the vehicle sensor; and a warning unit operated to inform a driver of a collision of the pedestrian with the vehicle by a control of the electronic control unit.

Abstract: An automatic parking system includes a smart key recognizing sensor recognizing a smart key positioned in a first area, a sensor system sensing presence or absence of a parking section line, and positions of surrounding vehicles when the smart key is recognized, a controller configured to analyze data sensed by the sensor system to calculate parking areas around a subject vehicle, calculate a range allowing generation of a moving path based on the parking areas, determine at least two parking types available at a current position of the subject vehicle in the range allowing generation of a moving path, provide a moving path range for a parking type that is selected among the moving path ranges, and receive a signal transmitted by the smart key to automatically park the subject vehicle in the optimal parking area.

Abstract: A method for performing resource offloading in an M2M system is provided. The method is performed based on an offloaded resource and offloaded attributes. The method includes generating an offloading request message that requests offloading of a source resource. In response to the offloading request message, offloading the source resource for which the offloading is requested. An offloaded resource is then generated using the offloaded source resource. Herein, the offloaded resource includes synchronization modes designating synchronization methods with the offloaded source resource as offloaded attributes.
