    摘要: A reliable optical transmission system with an improved signal control mechanism that avoids abrupt power variations of light beams, thereby preventing optical supervisory channel (OSC) signals from experiencing errors. An optical amplifier amplifies main signals under the control of an optical amplifier controller, which spends a first predetermined time to raise the output power of the optical amplifier up to a desired level. A pump light source produces a pump beam for injection to a fiber-optic transmission line so as to make it serve as an amplifying medium. The pump light source is controlled by a pump light source controller that spends a second predetermined time to raise the pump beam to a desired power level. This stepwise start-up process of the amplifier power and pump beam power prevents OSC signals from experiencing abrupt power variations.

    摘要: An optical transmission system wherein a main signal light is amplified by Raman amplification, and noise light (ASS light) produced by the Raman amplification can be corrected with a simple configuration and with high accuracy. The optical transmission system comprises, in each transmission section: a cutoff section for transmitting/cutting off a main signal light outputted from the optical transmitter on the preceding stage and inputted into the Raman amplification medium on an optical transmission line; a control section for varying the power of the pumping light supplied to the Raman amplification medium and changing the state of the cutoff section depending on the variation of the pumping light power; a monitor section for measuring the power of the pumping light supplied to the Raman amplification medium and the power of the light propagated through the optical transmission line and inputted into an optical transmitter on the succeeding stage; and a processing section for separately detecting the power of the main signal light and the power of the ASS light on the basis of the results of the measurement by the monitor section, and correcting the ASS light.

    摘要: An assay method capable of efficiently trapping an analyte in a certain amount of a reaction liquid in a short reaction time, the method being characterized in that only a part of a solid phase coated with a substance that specifically binds to the substance to be assayed is immersed in a pool of the reaction liquid containing the analyte, and this part of the solid phase is exchanged during the reaction, so that any surface of the solid phase can be immersed in the reaction liquid once in a predetermined time, and an assay kit for the assay based on this principle. In comparison with the conventional assay methods wherein the entire area of a limited solid phase surface is brought into contact with a certain amount of a reaction liquid, or wherein a test solution is diluted to bring the entirety of a certain surface area of the solid phase into contact therewith, the inventive method can increase reaction speed, which in turn results in trapping of the analyte on the solid phase efficiently in a short time. This reaction system can be used for the detection of an enzyme label in an enzyme immunoassay.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a method for detecting hepatic diseases which are associated with fibrosis by determining the level of human prolyl hydroxylase in a serum sample which comprises:(a) contacting a serum sample of a patient suspected of having said hepatic disease associated with fibrosis with a monoclonal antibody specific to the .beta.-subunit of human prolyl hydroxylase to form an antigen antibody complex bound on a solid support;(b) contacting said antigen antibody complex bound on said solid support with an enzyme-labeled monoclonal or enzyme-labeled polyclonal antibody specific to human prolyl hydroxylase to form an antibody antigen enzyme-labeled antibody complex; and(c) measuring the amount of enzyme activity of said bound antibody antigen enzyme-labeled antibody complex to determine the level of human prolyl hydroxylase present in said serum sample.
