    摘要: A communications system where data blocks from a communications device are received at least in a serving site over a wireless interface. The serving site typically checks whether data blocks have been correctly received and sends acknowledgement information to the communications device accordingly. An assisting site may also receive the data blocks and send information indicating whether data blocks have been correctly received in the assisting site. In this case, the serving site may request erroneously received information from the assisting site. Alternatively, the assisting site may send information indicating erroneous reception of data blocks in response to noticing a data block sent by the communications device. As a further alternative, the assisting site may be synchronized with the data blocks sent by the communications device and send quality information relating to the wireless interface between the communications device and the assisting site to the serving site.

Enabling includes establishing a first connection between a medium access control (MAC) protocol layer of a first wireless communication system and a physical layer of the first wireless communication system; establishing a second connection between the MAC protocol layer of the first wireless communication system and a MAC protocol layer of a second wireless communication system; using the first connection, performing wireless communications with the user equipment via one or more component carriers over a first air interface of the first wireless communication system; and communicating data over the second connection, the data used in wireless communications via one or more component carriers over a second air interface of the second wireless communication system. Apparatus and program products are also disclosed.

An illustrative method includes communication between a base station and a mobile station that takes place over a multirate data channel having a corresponding control channel. An illustrative method and system for estimating the spreading factor of data in a channel in a spread spectrum radio communication system includes a transmitter and a receiver, wherein the transmitter transmits a data unit at one of a plurality of spreading factors over a data channel and transmits in parallel over a control channel a control unit including information for decoding the data unit.

A received signal comprises a sum signal of signals originating from several transmitters. The receiver comprises means for performing interference elimination and a simultaneous multi-user detection to the signal and means for searching signal parameters.
