    摘要: A lock-up controller of a lock-up control system reads-in a vehicle speed V, a throttle opening degree TVO, an engine speed Ne, and a turbine speed Kt from sensors and outputs a fuel-out command and a fuel-supply restart command to an engine controller, to operate a lock-up clutch in a torque converter of an automatic transmission for an automotive vehicle in an accelerator-off (coasting) state of the vehicle. The lock-up control system makes it possible to realize locking-up of the torque converter providing an improved fuel consumption ratio of the engine and a large braking force from the engine, even when a vehicle speed increases due to running down a downward slope while the accelerator-off state continues, or when an up-shifting speed change occurs due to the accelerator-off state.

    摘要: A four wheel drive motor vehicle is of a type which has a variable torque transfer through which the driving force distribution between front and rear wheels is varied in accordance with the magnitude of a fluid pressure supplied to the transfer. A fluid pressure control device for producing the fluid pressure comprises a first hydraulic circuit which is arranged to have a first operation mode wherein the first hydraulic circuit outputs, for the transfer, a fluid pressure which is varied continuously; a second hydraulic circuit which is arranged to have a second operation mode wherein the second hydraulic circuit outputs, for the transfer, a fluid pressure which is varied stepwisely; a piping for connecting the first and second hydraulic circuits to constitute a united hydraulic circuit; and shutters arranged in given portions of the piping to selectively open and close the given portions for allowing the united hydraulic circuit to have the first and second operation modes selectively.

    摘要: A control system for a lock-up clutch of an automatic transmission is provided which serves to change a variation rate of control pressure between partial engagement operation and full engagement operation, which adjusts a degree of lock-up clutch engagement. The system includes a lock-up control valve and a switching valve. The lock-up control valve is responsive to hydraulic pressure input to a first pilot port which is lower than a preselected threshold level to vary a pressure difference between apply and release chambers gradually at a first rate to establish disengagement or partial engagement of the lock-up clutch. The switching valve is responsive to hydraulic pressure input to a pilot port which is higher than a preselected threshold level to provide pilot pressure of a preselected level to a second pilot port of the lock-up control valve. The lock-up control valve is responsive to input of pressure into first and second pilot ports to vary the pressure difference between the apply and release chambers at a second rate greater than the first rate to establish full engagement of the lock-up clutch.

    摘要: A lock-up control device controls a lock-up clutch in a torque converter. The lock-up clutch is engaged by supplying a lock-up control pressure. The torque converter transmits torque via oil in a torque converter chamber when the lock-up clutch is disengaged, and transmits torque directly when the lock-up clutch is engaged. In the lock-up state, the oil pressure in the torque converter chamber is decreased by discharging oil in the torque converter chamber. By providing a circuit which leads oil discharged from the torque converter chamber to a lubricating part of the transmission, the balance between the inflowing oil amount and outflowing oil amount is improved, and oil insufficiency is prevented.

    摘要: A valve (13, 14) causes fluid pressures to act individually on plural frictional elements (A, B) of an automatic transmission so as to selectively lock the rotation of the frictional elements (A, B). A control unit (21) determines that the automatic transmission has an interlock tendency when the fluid pressures acting on the frictional elements (A, B) detected by pressure sensors (24, 25) are both equal to or greater than a predetermined pressure. Completion of a gear position change-over is detected by a sensor (23, 26), and the control unit (21) does not determine the interlock tendency until a predetermined time &Dgr;t has elapsed after the gear position change-over is complete. In this way, an incorrect determination is prevented by avoiding the determination in a period when the pressures are unstable in a period immediately after the gear position change-over of the automatic transmission.
