    摘要: There is provided a very thin light guide plate for a surface light source device and a method of manufacturing it without the use of high-precision molding machine. A surface light source device using this light guide plate generates outgoing light having high uniformity. According to the manufacturing method, a light guide plate free from a weld line or warp can be manufactured with good transferring characteristics. The light guide plate is thick on an incident surface 1 side and thin on a lower surface 4 side. At the central portion of an incident surface 1 in a longitudinal direction, a projecting portion obtained by cutting an overhang portion 7 at a position a distance D apart from the incident surface 1 is formed. The cut surface of the projecting portion is not made specular and is kept rough. In molding of the light guide plate, a molten material is supplied from the position of a gate mark 9. After molding, the overhang portion 7 is cut off by an ordinary cutter, thereby obtaining a light guide plate.

    摘要: An OCT probe has a sheath to be inserted into a subject; and an optical system within the sheath, for changing the direction of light which propagates from a light source through an optical fiber to irradiate the light onto the subject through a transparent portion of the sheath, and for reflecting the light beam, which is reflected by the subject, to guide the light into the optical fiber. A light output surface, for causing the light to be output from the reflecting surface in a direction obliquely inclined with respect to the inner surface of the sheath, and a reflected light sheath entrance preventing portion, for preventing light reflected by the inner surface of the sheath from entering the optical fiber, are provided in the optical system. The reflected light sheath entrance preventing portion may be formed by providing a cut planar surface portion on the lens.

    摘要: The present invention provides an electronic device with improved characteristics and a method of making the electronic device. In a method of making an electronic device (piezoelectric device) 74 according to the present invention, an outer edge R1 of a piezoelectric film 52A formed on an electrode film 46A of a laminate 60 is located inside an outer edge R2 of the electrode film 46A. For this reason, in removal of a monocrystalline Si substrate 14 from a multilayer board 61, where an etching solution permeates between polyimide 72 and laminate 60, the etching solution circumvents the electrode film 46A before it reaches the piezoelectric film 52A. Namely, a route A of the etching solution to the piezoelectric film 52A is significantly extended by the electrode film 46A. In the method of making the electronic device 74, therefore, the etching solution is less likely to reach the piezoelectric film 52A. It significantly suppresses a situation of dissolution of the piezoelectric film 52A and realizes improvement in characteristics of the piezoelectric device 74 made.

    摘要: A surface light source device of side light type illuminating an LCD panel and comprising a guide plate, a primary light source, a reflection sheet, and a prism sheet for light control. A plurality of fine light scattering elements and rough area M are formed on an emission face of the guide plate. The rough area M is formed among the light scattering elements and has scattering power weaker than that of the light scattering elements. The dot-like light scattering elements are distributed according to a certain pattern that is designed to promote emission. Emission is promoted where the light scattering elements are formed and also in the area M. Accordingly, fine periodic bright-dark unevenness and glaring are reduced and the prism sheet, disposed on the emission face, is prevented from sticking to the emission face.
