A hot press member includes excellent indentation peel strength which has a tensile strength of 1780 MPa or more. A plating layer has at a surface thereof a 10-point average roughness Rzjis of 25 μm or less, and a steel sheet contains, in mass %, not less than 0.25% but less than 0.50% of C, 1.5% or less of Si, 1.1-2.4% of Mn, 0.05% or less of P, 0.005% or less of S, 0.01-0.50% of Al, 0.010% or less of N, 0.001-0.020% of Sb, 0.005-0.15% of Nb, and 0.005-0.15% of Ti, the balance being Fe and incidental impurities. The average crystal grain size of prior austenite is 7 μm or less and the volume proportion of martensite is 90% or more, within 50 μm in the thickness direction from the surface of the steel sheet excluding the plating layer.

A spot welded member includes a spot weld formed by holding a sheet stack of multiple steel sheets between a pair of electrodes and spot-welding the sheet stack, in which at least one of the multiple steel sheets is a high-strength zinc-based coated steel sheet having a tensile strength of 780 MPa or more, the high-strength zinc-based coated steel sheet having a coating with an Al content of 0.5% or more by mass, and in which the heat shock region of the spot weld outwardly extending from an edge of a corona bond area includes a coated layer including an FeAl alloy layer having an average thickness of 0.3 μm or more and a zinc-based coated layer having an average thickness of 2.0 μm or more on the FeAl alloy layer at the interface between the base steel sheet of the high-strength zinc-based coated steel sheet and the coating.

A hot-dip galvanized steel sheet having a good appearance and good adhesion to a coating, the hot-dip galvanized steel sheet having a composition containing, on a mass basis: C: 0.08% or more and less than 0.20%, Si: 0.1% to 3.0%, Mn: 0.5% to 3.0%, P: 0.001% to 0.10%, Al: 0.01% to 3.00%, and S: 0.200% or less, a remainder being Fe and incidental impurities, wherein the hot-dip galvanized steel sheet includes an internal oxidation layer and a decarburized layer, the internal oxidation layer having a thickness of 5 μm or less, the decarburized layer having a thickness of 20 μm or less, and 50% or more by area of the internal oxidation layer is composed of a Si oxide containing Fe and/or Mn represented by Fe2XMn2-2XSiOY, wherein X ranges from 0 to 1, and Y is 3 or 4.

A high-strength galvanized steel sheet and a method for producing the steel sheet. The steel sheet has a composition that includes C: 0.030% to 0.250%, Si: 0.01% to 3.00%, Mn: 2.00% to 10.00%, P: 0.001% to 0.100%, S: 0.0001% to 0.0200%, N: 0.0005% to 0.0100%, Ti: 0.005% to 0.200%, on a mass basis, and Fe and inevitable impurities. Additionally, the steel sheet has concentration of solute Mn at a depth of 5 μm or less from a surface of the steel sheet that is 1.50% by mass or less, and a value obtained by dividing the average mass percentage of Mn in retained austenite by the average mass percentage of Mn in ferrite is 2.0 or more.

A method for manufacturing a galvanized steel sheet includes heating a base steel sheet in a heating zone such that the surface of the base steel sheet is heated at a temperature of 600° C. or higher and 790° C. or lower while a furnace temperature T° C. in the heating zone of an annealing furnace is controlled based on the water vapor partial pressure PH2Oin Air of air fed into the heating zone, the base steel sheet having a chemical composition consisting of, by mass %, C: 0.05% or more and 0.25% or less, Si: 0.1% or more and 3.0% or less, Mn: 0.5% or more and 3.0% or less, P: 0.001% or more and 0.10% or less, Al: 0.01% or more and 3.00% or less, S: 0.200% or less, and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, heating the base steel sheet in the heating zone such that the surface of the base steel sheet is heated at a temperature of 630° C. or higher and 850° C. or lower in an atmosphere containing hydrogen gas having a partial pressure PH2 of 1000 Pa or more and 50000 Pa or less, water vapor gas having a partial pressure PH2O of 610 Pa or less, and the balance being N2 and inevitable impurities, and galvanizing the base steel sheet.
