    Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection device includes: a substrate; a plurality of photodiodes arranged on the substrate; a protective film that covers the photodiodes; a plurality of lenses provided so as to overlap the respective photodiodes; a first light-blocking layer that is provided between the photodiodes and the lenses and is provided with first openings in regions overlapping the respective photodiodes; and a second light-blocking layer that is provided between the first light-blocking layer and the lenses and is provided with second openings in regions overlapping the respective photodiodes and the respective first openings. The first light-blocking layer is provided with slits in regions overlapping gaps between the photodiodes adjacent to each other, and the second light-blocking layer is provided so as to be continuous across the photodiodes adjacent to each other and is provided so as to overlap the slits.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes an array substrate, a counter-substrate, a negative liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules, a retardation film attached to a surface of the array substrate, a first polarizer attached to the retardation film and having a first absorption axis, a second polarizer attached to a surface of the counter-substrate, and having a second absorption axis which is parallel to a direction of initial alignment of the liquid crystal molecules and perpendicular to the first absorption axis, a cover member located opposite to the second polarizer, and ultraviolet curing resin which bonds the second polarizer and the cover member to each other.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device comprises a pixel electrode including a first main electrode disposed between a first line and a second line and extending like a belt in a first extending direction. A first counter electrode includes a second main electrode extending like a belt in the first extending direction, a second counter electrode having a third main electrode extending like a belt in the first extending direction. The second and third main electrodes are disposed on both sides of the first main electrode, and an initial alignment direction of the liquid crystal molecules is parallel with a direction passing through an interstice between the first end side of the first main electrode and the second line, and through an interstice between the second end side of the first main electrode and the first line.
