摘要: An ink-jet recording medium which comprises: a resin-coated paper comprising a base paper and resin layers with which both surfaces of the base paper are coated, respectively; and an ink-receiving layer formed by coating on one of the resin layers, the ink-receiving layer containing an inorganic particle and a binder for the inorganic particle and the inorganic particle being made of alumina, wherein the base paper has a thickness of 100 to 300 μm and the thickness ratio of one of the resin layers that is located between the base paper and the ink-receiving layer to the other resin layer is as follows: (the one resin layer):(the other resin layer)=1:1 to 1:2.

摘要: For receiving a voice FM broadcast it has so far been necessary to separately provide an SAW filter and a voice intermediate frequency amplifier circuit and the freedom of circuit design has been limited.In the present invention there is used a variable filter circuit 15 (a variable filter means). The variable filter circuit 15 allows an intermediate frequency signal (IF) to pass therethrough, the intermediate frequency signal being outputted from a mixing circuit 14 as a constituent of a tuner means. The variable filter circuit 15 can change a limitation on the frequency band of the intermediate frequency signal passing therethrough. The frequency band of the intermediate frequency signal passing through the variable filter circuit 15 is thereby limited according to the type of a received broadcasting radio wave, and a VCO circuit 32 (a variable oscillator means) is controlled so as to change the oscillation frequency of an oscillation signal.

摘要: An apparatus for recognizing visual patterns of handprinted characters or the like by means of an optical character reader which reads the patterns by a so-called outermost point method. While tracing the contour of the pattern stored in a two-dimensional memory, the distances from the starting point of the tracing and the integrated values of the coordinates of the points traced on the contour from the starting points are simultaneously obtained successively to extract outermost points for the series of contours. According to this outermost points, the contours are segmented into the convex line segments, concavity line segments and hole segments and the corresponding parameters of features of each segment are detected. Simultaneously, the convex line segment of which is shorter than a predetermined length is rejected and the remaining segments are subjected to matching operation in accordance with preliminarily prepared dictionary, thereby making a decision as to the pattern's identity.

摘要: A program-viewing inhibition device comprises a memory for storing inhibition level data indicative of a predetermined level of unsuitability rating of a broadcasting program, a control section for determining whether or not an input channel received is acceptable by comparing inhibition level data extracted from a broadcast signal of an received input channel with the inhibition level data read out of the memory, and for changing the input channel to another channel when it is judged that the input channel is unacceptable or to be rejected for its viewing. Accordingly, a manual operation to change the input channel to the substitute channel when the input channel is unacceptable for viewing can be eliminated.

摘要: An alloy ingot for permanent magnet consists essentially of rare earth metal and iron and optionally boron. The two-component alloy ingot contains 90 vol % or more of crystals having a crystal grain size along a short axis of 0.1 to 100 .mu.m and that along a long axis of 0.1 to 100 .mu.m. The three-component alloy ingot contains 90 vol % or more of crystals having a crystal grain size along a short axis of 0.1 to 50 .mu.m and that along a long axis of 0.1 to 100 .mu.m. The alloy ingot is produced by solidifying the molten alloy uniformly at a cooling rate of 10.degree. to 1000.degree. C./sec. at a sub-cooling degree of 10.degree. to 500.degree. C. A permanent magnet and anisotropic powders are produced from the alloy ingot.
