摘要: A system for measuring a foreign material in a liquid, includes a sampling section, vacuum deaerators, foreign material measuring sensors. The sampling section prepares a sample liquid containing various foreign materials having particles of different sizes and numbers and a calibration standard liquid containing particles of known sizes and numbers. The vacuum deaerators deaerate gases mixed in the sample and calibration standard liquids. The sensors detect the foreign materials in the deaerated liquids. These sensors are arranged in front of the deaerators, respectively.

摘要: A method of producing a shadow mask for use in a color cathode ray tube, has the following steps which are conducted in sequence: preparing an alloy sheet having a composition consisting of 30 to 50 wt % of Ni, 1 to 5 wt % of Ti and the balance substantially Fe and incidental impurities; perforating the alloy sheet by etching; subjecting the etched alloy sheet to a solution heat treatment; forming the alloy sheet after the solution heat treatment into a predetermined form; subjecting the formed alloy sheet to an age-hardening treatment by holding the alloy sheet within a non-oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature ranging between 650.degree. and 750.degree. C.; and subjecting the alloy sheet after the solution heat treatment to a surface blackening treatment thereby forming a black film on the surface of the alloy sheet.

摘要: Disclosed is a projection tube containing a coolant comprising a liquid mixture of ethylene glycol and water filled in the space between a phosphor screen panel and a transparent face panel which is set up at a certain distance in front thereof, wherein the coolant is incorporated with 10 ppm to 20 wt. % of an ethylene oligomer. The present projection tube is an excellent product free from a decrease in transmittance due to the coloring of the coolant in operation at a high temperature.

摘要: In a directly heated cathode including a base formed of an alloy containing nickel as its principal component and coated with an oxide of an alkaline earth metal which emits electrons, a layer of a metal selected from the group consisting of nickel, cobalt, platinum and rhodium or of an alloy containing one of these metals as its principal component is formed on both surfaces of the base to one of which surfaces the coating of the oxide is applied, so as to thereby prevent the peeling-off of the coating of the oxide from the base. In order to avoid deformation of the base, a powder alloy containing tungsten and nickel as its principal components, a powder alloy containing molybdenum and nickel as its principal components or one of these powder alloys which is coated with nickel, cobalt or a cobalt-nickel alloy is deposited on the surface of the base to which the coating of the oxide is applied.

摘要: A solar battery has a pair of opposed light incident transparent electroconductive and back electrodes sandwiching amorphous silicon layers formed on a substrate with at least a major surface of the back electrode surface being in contact with an organic resin layer and being made of a compound of a transition metal and silicon, a compound of a transition metal and nitrogen, or a compound of a transition metal and carbon. Excellent corrosion resistance of the back electrode is obtained and the battery has high performance and high reliability.

摘要: An oxide-coated cathode for electron tubes comprising a base metal plate made of an alloy containing nickel as a major component and at least one high-melting point metal in an amount of 2% by weight or more, and if required, a small amount of one or more reducing elements, and an electron emissive alkaline earth metal oxide layer adhered to the base metal plate, characterized by having a carbide layer made of at least one carbide of Si, B, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Mo or W between the base metal plate and the electron emissive alkaline earth metal oxide layer can maintain electron emitting life for a long period of time due to the prevention of interfacial reaction between the base metal layer and the alkaline earth metal oxide layer.

摘要: A non-conductive sealing glass consists of 100 parts by weight of a composition containing 20-30 mole % of B.sub.2 O.sub.3, 60-69 mole % of PbO, 0-10 mole % of ZnO, O-6 mole % of CuO and 0.5-2.0 mole % of Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3 ; and 1-5 parts by weight of either one or both of SiO.sub.2 and Al.sub.2 O.sub.3. The sealing glass is suitable for bonding together and sealing soda-lime-silica glass plates utilized to manufacture panel display devices.
