摘要： A retractor for use with a seat belt is capable of releasing a state of end lock without using a complicated structure of a locking mechanism for operating the locking of the retractor in the case of an emergency of a vehicle. The retractor contains an angular engaging surface at one end of a winding shaft, that engages with a retractor base at certain portions. The angular engaging surface has a groove in the direction of a circumference of the winding shaft into which the portions may be engaged. This groove helps to prevent the displacement of the winding shaft in the direction of thrust and allows for superior locking.

摘要： Provided is a seatbelt device capable of realizing a comfortable seatbelt-wearing environment as well as appropriately securing and protecting a passenger. The seatbelt device is further capable of realizing an immediate escape or rescue of a passenger after a vehicle accident, thereby providing extra safety and a swift escape by protracting the webbing in accordance with the state of the vehicle accident. This seatbelt device is provided with a retractor which uses a motor for retracting and protracting the webbing that secures a passenger to his/her seat, and a controller for rotating the motor and at least retracting the webbing. The controller is capable of altering the protraction mode of the webbing in accordance with the state of the webbing fastened by the passenger.

The control mechanism for setting the engaging portion (56) in accordance with an amount of winding of the webbing (50) at the first position where the engaging portion (56) is engaged with the tooth (18a) of the ratchet wheel (18) and the second position where the engaging portion (56) is not engaged with the ratchet wheel (18), comprises a control plate (65) rotated in accordance with the rotation of the bobbin (3) and a locking lever (55) to push the engaging portion (56) to the first position or the second one by the elastic protrusion (46a). The control plate (65) and the locking lever (55) include an engaging protrusion (66) and a flexible engaging portion (60) to displace the locking lever (55) to the first position only when the webbing (50) is wound after the webbing has been drawn out by an amount not less than a predetermined value.

摘要： A seat belt retractor is provided with an emergency locking mechanism which can operate securely while an end lock state where a webbing can be neither drawn out nor taken up is prevented from being caused by the maloperation of the emergency locking mechanism at the time of storage of the belt. A rotation control disk having teeth which are equal in pitch circle diameter to teeth of a driving side gear rotating together with a takeup shaft but different in number from the teeth of the driving side gear is rotatably supported on a rotary shaft of the driving side gear. The rotation control disk is rotated by an intermediate gear with a phase shift relative to the driving side gear. The movement of the lock member is limited by a limiting member in accordance with an angle of phase shift of the rotation control disk relative to the takeup shaft so that the lock member cannot move in the direction of engagement with the latch member when the webbing is taken up substantially entirely.

That is, in a seat belt apparatus including a seat belt retractor having a lock mechanism structured such that, when the acceleration of a vehicle body or the pay-out acceleration of a webbing is a predetermined value or more, a pawl member (15) is engaged with a pawl wheel (13) to lock the rotation of a bobbin (2) with the webbing wound thereon in the webbing pay-out direction, the pawl wheel (13) is structured such that two or more kinds of ratchet teeth (T1) and (T2) differing in addendum circle diameter are mixedly arranged in the peripheral direction of the pawl wheel according to a predetermined manner, thereby being able to lower the probability of the webbing end lock occurring.

The retractor 1 for a seat belt has a rotation restraining mechanism 300 for restraining rotation of the bobbin 3 when the bobbin 3 has been rotated by a predetermined angle in the direction in which the webbing 50 is drawn out to correspond to torsion of the torsion bar 200A.
