    摘要: The present invention is directed to an interactive intelligent toy comprising an intelligent element configured to resemble a person, animal, vehicle or other character and an environmental element configured to resemble a related environment, habitat or object. The intelligent element is adapted to perform certain preprogrammed actions upon coming into contact with or proximity to the environmental element. In one embodiment, the intelligent element is a motive component having a drive mechanism, a control mechanism and power source. The motive component is programmed to monitor and detect user and event inputs, and detect and decode embedded codes from an environmental element and perform predetermined actions or generate predetermined sounds in response. The motive component also engages with a coupling component and supplies the drive mechanism and power source for moving both the motive component and the coupling component.

    摘要: The present invention provides a tracking system in which a mobile tag having an unknown position, which tag is to be tracked in space over time, transmits a signal comprising a pair of tones at different frequencies. The transmitted signal is received at each of three receivers, each having a known location, where the phase of each of the tones within the signal is measured. The measured phases are passed to a processing unit which determines the position of the tag at the time of transmission of the signal on the basis of the difference between the measured phases of the two tones. The tracking system operates over a defined finite range to track the position of the mobile tag uniquely in space.

    摘要: Receive circuits and associated methods are provided for ultrasound imaging. Both subarray mixing and time division multiplexing are provided with a same circuit. Components of the receive circuit respond to either phasing or time slot information to implement subarray mixing or time division multiplexing. A network of switches allows combination of signals from different elements to form different sub-apertures. A controller minimizes power consumption while outputting the desired phase or time division multiplexed information by gating a clock to various registers. Each of the registers corresponds to different groups of transducer elements. For loading new phasing information, the clock is turned on to the desired register. Duration operation of the receive circuit, the clock is gated off. The register outputs the previously loaded values in a static state without clocking. Preamplification for either of time division or subarray mixed signals is provided using a variable gain amplifier with a common mode feedback. The common mode feedback provides for a constant operating point despite changes in the desired amount of gain.

    摘要: A magnetic force generator includes a magnetic shell internally defining an armature chamber. At least three circumferential electric coils are spaced axially within the chamber. An armature supported in the chamber for reciprocation therein includes a plurality of aligned magnets separated by at least one intermediate magnetic steel plate sandwiched between like poles of adjoining magnets and a pair of end steel magnetic plates on opposite ends of the armature. The plates extend laterally to a periphery of the armature in general lateral alignment with the electric coils. Springs nominally center the armature between non-magnetic ends of the chamber. Controlled energizing of the coils reciprocates the armature axially relative to the shell to develop an opposite inertia force on the shell for application to a connected body. The use of multiple magnets improves performance and/or reduces cost compared to a single magnet of comparable size.

    摘要: A structure and method for mounting a processor assembly on a mother board and a structure and method for cooling the processor assembly are described. The processor assembly includes a processor circuit board assembly which is located adjacent to a heat sink for removing heat from the circuit board assembly. The heat sink and circuit board assembly are maintained in an upright position with respect to the mother board by a frame mounted on the mother board and/or the computer system chassis. A cover mounted to the top of the frame holds a connector on the processor circuit board assembly in mating contact with a connector on the mother board. The cover also serves to complete an enclosure around the heat sink and processor circuit board assembly. Fans mounted to the frame move air from an intake end of the processor assembly, across cooling fins on the heat sink, to an outlet end of the processor assembly such that a ducted cooling system is provided for the processor assembly.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a powered hub device for use with a motorized toy, such as an interactive intelligent toy. The powered hub includes a drive bar positioned to frictionally engage with a moving component of a motorized toy, such as a spinning tire. The drive bar, driven by the moving component, in tune powers a drive mechanism to cause movement of various elements on the powered hub device. In a preferred embodiment, the powered hub includes a coupler that allows accessory event hubs to be connected to the powered hub so that motion is transferred to the accessory event hub. Various exemplary embodiments are disclosed.
