    Abstract: A motor unit includes a motor including a rotor to rotate about a motor axis extending in a horizontal direction, and a stator radially outside of the rotor, a housing including a housing space to house the motor, oil in a vertically lower region of the housing space, and an oil passage to feed the oil from the vertically lower region of the housing space to the motor. A channel of the oil passage includes a main reservoir and an auxiliary reservoir to store the oil. Each of the main reservoir and the auxiliary reservoir includes an outflow port to feed the oil to the motor. The main reservoir is located on an upstream side of the auxiliary reservoir in the oil passage. The auxiliary reservoir is structured to receive a portion of the oil overflowing from the main reservoir.

A pump is fixed to an outer peripheral surface of the housing and is located in a channel of the oil passage. The pump is on an opposite side of the motor axis with respect to the differential when viewed in an axial direction of the motor axis.

    Abstract: In manufacturing a motor, a second protrusion of a lead bushing is inserted into a second through-hole in a bearing holder. A diameter increased portion on an upper end of the second protrusion fixes the lead bushing to the bearing holder. This configuration thus requires less dimensional accuracy as compared with a case where the lead bushing is press fitted to the bearing holder.

    Abstract: A stator includes a plurality of lead wires extending upward from a coil and a guide member supporting the lead wire above the coil. The guide member is an insulating body. The guide member includes a lower plate, an inner wall, and an upper plate. The lower plate spreads annularly around a central axis. The inner wall extends upward from an inner circumference of the lower plate. The upper plate extends from the inner wall to a radial outside. A single lead wire accommodation space exists on an upper side of the lower plate, a lower side of the upper plate, and a radial outside of the inner wall. The plurality of lead wires are circumferentially disposed along the inner wall in the lead wire accommodation space.
