Abstract:
An example technique may include controlling receiving, by a second node from a first node in a wireless network, a request to offload authentication of the first node with the core network to the second node, controlling receiving, by the second node from the first node, data to be forwarded to the core network, performing, by the second node based on the request, an authentication with the core network on behalf of the first node while the first node is not connected with the second node, and controlling forwarding the received data from the second node to the core network while the first node is not connected with the second node.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for controlling at least one device configured to receive scheduled frequency resources of a scheduled system are disclosed. At least one device in inactive mode is allocated a secondary frequency resource independently from scheduling of the scheduled system. A signal is transmitted to the at least one device in inactive mode a signal on the secondary frequency resource to control reception of the scheduled frequency resources. A device in inactive mode receiving the signal on the secondary frequency resource can control reception of the scheduled frequency resources based on the signal.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to methods and network nodes transmitting data in a radio communications system. In particular, the present invention refers to a method including the steps of receiving a portion of a data unit; and starting a processing of the portion of the data unit prior to receiving remaining portions of the data unit, and to a network node configured for executing the method.
Abstract:
A method of transmission in a communications network is provided in which data is transmitted using a first radio access technology and a second radio access technology. The method includes providing an anchor carrier associated only with the first radio access technology and another carrier shared between the first radio access technology and the second radio access technology. Transmission via the second radio access technology is muted in the shared carrier during at least one subframe of each data frame transmitted using the second radio access technology. Data is transmitted using the first radio access technology in the shared carrier only during the at least one subframe in which transmission using the second radio access technology is muted.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including a computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to: store information needed for executing at least one operation by a remote-site, and carry out the at least one operation by the remote-site by using the stored information, if mobile fronthaul is temporarily not available.
Abstract:
There is provided a method comprising: obtaining, by an apparatus, a first data block, a second data block and a third data block; generating a first signal, wherein a first part of the first signal is generated based on a data of the first data block, and wherein a second part of the first signal is generated based on a data of the second data block, the second part being subsequent in time domain compared with the first part; generating a second signal, wherein a first part of the second signal is generated based on a data of the third data block, and wherein a second part of the second signal is generated based on the data of the second data block, the second part being subsequent in time domain compared with the first part; and transmitting the first and second signals.
Abstract:
An example technique is provided for receiving, by a target base station (BS) from a source PS, information identifying a source cell or the source BS, and a first time advance value used by the user device to transmit signals to the source BS, receiving a signal by the target BS that was transmitted from the user device based on the first tune advance value, determining, by the target BS based upon the first time advance value and the received signal from the user device, a second time advance value to be used by the user device to transmit data to the target BS, sending the second time advance value from the target BS to the source BS, receiving, by the target BS, a handover of the user device from the source BS to the target BS, and receiving data by the target BS from the user device based on the second time advance value.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed comprising defining a hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ profile for a user terminal among a plurality of HARQ profiles available. In an embodiment, the HARQ profile indicates a first time interval between downlink transmission being received in the terminal and corresponding uplink control information being expected to be transmitted from the terminal, and a second time interval between the uplink control information being transmitted from the terminal and corresponding downlink retransmission at earliest being expected to be received in the terminal. In another embodiment, the HARQ profile indicates a third time interval between uplink transmission being received in a base station and corresponding downlink information being expected to be transmitted from the base station, and a fourth time interval between the downlink information being transmitted from the base station and corresponding uplink retransmission at earliest being expected to be received in the base station.
Abstract:
Control channels can benefit from a search space arrangement. For example, an evolved or enhanced physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) in the long term evolution advanced (LTE-A) physical layer can benefit in its design from a search space arrangement. A method can include indicating a control channel search space by a pair of parameters. The pair of parameters can include a physical resource block index and an explicit control channel element index. The method can also include transmitting on the control channel within the search space.
Abstract:
A method including determining that a user equipment on a first cell having a first frequency is to alternatively or additionally use a second cell having a second different frequency; and searching for a reference signal of said second cell within a window defined with respect to said first cell or a third cell.
