Abstract: The present invention relates to a kit of parts comprising a surface-treated calcium carbonate-containing filler material and a peroxide agent for improving the mechanical properties of a polymer mixture comprising at least one polyethylene polymer and at least one polypropylene polymer, a filled polymer mixture, a process for the preparation of a filled polymer composition, a filled polymer composition obtained thereby or obtainable by reacting the filled polymer mixture, the use of a surface-treated calcium carbonate-containing filler material and a peroxide reagent for reacting a polymer composition comprising at least one polyethylene polymer and at least one polypropylene polymer, preferably thereby improving the mechanical properties of the polymer composition, as well as an article comprising the filled polymer mixture or the filled polymer composition.

Abstract: A curable fluoropolymer composition includes a crosslinkable fluorine-containing polymer, and a filler selected from surface-reacted calcium carbonate, ultrafine calcium carbonate, or a mixture thereof, wherein the surface-reacted calcium carbonate is a reaction product of natural ground calcium carbonate or precipitated calcium carbonate with carbon dioxide and one or more H3O+ ion donors, wherein the carbon dioxide is formed in situ by the H3O+ ion donors treatment and/or is supplied from an external source. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to a cured fluoropolymer product formed from said composition, an article including the cured fluoropolymer product, a method of producing a cured fluoropolymer product, and use of said filler for reinforcing a cured fluoropolymer product.

Abstract: A porous filler for reducing the gas permeability of an elastomer composition, a process for producing the elastomer composition comprising the porous filler, and the elastomer composition itself. The porous filler is selected from surface-reacted calcium carbonate, precipitated hydromagnesite and mixtures thereof. The addition of the porous filler to the elastomer composition allows for reducing the gas permeability of the elastomer composition while retaining or improving the mechanical properties of the elastomer composition.
