    摘要: A printhead includes a substrate, catcher, and monolithic liquid jetting structure including a nozzle and deflection mechanism. A liquid jet is ejected through the nozzle in a direction substantially parallel to a first surface of the substrate. The nozzle includes material layers formed on the first surface of the substrate. At least one of the material layers of the nozzle includes a drop forming mechanism actuated to form liquid drops from the liquid jet. The deflection mechanism is associated with the liquid jet and deflects portions of the liquid jet between first and second paths. The liquid drops formed from portions of the liquid jet following the first path and second path continue to follow the first path and second path, respectively. The catcher includes a liquid drop contact surface including a portion of the first surface of the substrate and collects liquid drops following the second path.

    摘要: A liquid dispenser is provided that includes a liquid supply channel, a liquid dispensing channel, and a liquid return channel. The liquid dispensing channel includes a wall. The wall includes a surface. A portion of the wall defines an outlet opening that includes a downstream edge relative to a direction of liquid flow through the liquid dispensing channel. The downstream edge is perpendicular to the surface of the wall of the liquid dispensing channel. A liquid is provided that flows from the liquid supply channel through the liquid dispensing channel to the liquid return channel. A liquid drop is caused to be ejected from the outlet opening of the liquid dispensing channel by selectively actuating a diverter member to divert a portion of the flowing liquid through the outlet opening of the liquid dispensing channel.

    摘要: A set of similarity detection algorithms and techniques for determining which signature calculation, sampling, and generation algorithms may be most beneficially applied to application related data are described herein. These algorithms work well with SSD caching software to product high speed, high accuracy, and low false-positive detections. Because the different algorithms may show different performance depending on data sets and different applications, to achieve optimal performance, a calibration process may be applied to each application and associated data set to select the best combination of signature computation and sampling technique. The new algorithms are also very fast with execution times an order of magnitude smaller than existing techniques. While some of the algorithms are presented using examples for the purpose of easy readability, these algorithms are very general and can be easily applied to broad range of cases.

The liquid drops travelling along one of the first path and the second path contact the liquid film.
