    Abstract: Described herein in one embodiment is a plant for the continuous solution polymerization of one or more monomers in a solvent, e.g., a hydrocarbon solvent. In one aspect, the plant comprises a high pressure pump and at least one heat exchanger downstream of the pump. In another aspect a feed is cooled by three heat exchangers which are refrigerated by means of a common three stage compressor. In another aspect, the plant comprises a primary reactor and a secondary reactor arranged to operate in parallel, in which the ratio of volume of the primary reactor to the secondary reactor is in the range of 60:40 to 95:5. In another aspect, a method of defouling a heat exchanger is provided in which the level of liquid refrigerant in the heat exchanger is temporarily lowered.

    Abstract: For direct and on-line study of the physiological states of cell cultures, a robust flow injection system has been designed and interfaced with flow cytometry (FI-FCM). The core of the flow injection system includes a microchamber designed for sample processing. The design of the microchamber allows not only an accurate on-line dilution but also on-line cell fixation, staining, and washing. The flow injection part of the system was tested by monitoring the optical density of a growing E.coli culture on-line using a spectrophotometer. The entire growth curve, from lag phase to stationary phase, was obtained with frequent sampling. The system is thus particularly useful since it operates automatically without direct operator supervision for extended time periods.

    Abstract: A method, system and device for scheduling a non-contention based random access and transmitting a preamble are provided in the present invention. The present invention belongs to wireless telecommunication field and is used to solve a problem that the prior art is not able to support cross carrier non-competing random access scheduled by a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH). In the present invention, a Base Station (BS) adds Uplink Component Carrier (ul cc) identification information in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) signaling which is used to schedule a User Equipment (UE) to implement non-competing random access; and sends the UE the DCI signaling through the PDCCH. After detecting the DCI signaling, the UE sends the network side a preamble sequence on a UL CC corresponding to the UL CC identification. With the present invention, support is provided to realize cross carrier non-competing random access scheduled by PDCCH.
