There is provided a drilling method capable of improving machining accuracy of a printed board drilling apparatus as a whole by decreasing dispersion of the machining accuracy even if it is a multi-spindle printed board drilling apparatus. A misalignment of an axial center of a drill with respect to a designed axial center in X and Y directions is detected in advance per a certain number of revolutions of each spindle that rotates the drill. Holes of two or more types of diameter are made on a printed board by making holes of at least one diameter, e.g., an exposure master hole, per each spindle and by making holes of all other diameters almost simultaneously by all of the spindles.

To enable the display device to produce a high quality display and have a long lifetime while ensuring the conduction in a wide range between the cathode lines and the electron sources, the cathode lines are made of a material having a conductor and an insulator, and the composition of a connecting portion between the cathode line and the electron source is formed such that the conductor occupancy rate becomes equal to or more than the insulator occupancy rate.

A cold cathode display device includes a plurality of spacers in a space defined between a face substrate and a back substrate. The spacers are held by two fixing means consisting of fixing by fusion of a fixing material and fixing by dissolution of the fixing material. The invention provides an image display device which can realize the large-sizing of display size, the high-quality display and the prolonged lifetime by preventing the inclination and the removal of the spacers thus assuring the fixing strength and ensuring the parallelism and the panel strength of both substrates.

A plurality of spacers are arranged between a face substrate and a back substrate of a planar image display device and both ends of each spacer are respectively fixed to the face substrate and the back substrate using a fixing material which contains a conductive component and 10 to 90 wt % of vitrifying component. Due to such a constitution, the display device can ensure the parallelism of both substrates and a panel strength by ensuring a fixing strength and conductive properties of the spacers. Accordingly, the display device can realize the large-sizing of a display size and the high-quality display. The display device also can prolong the lifetime.

The invention provides a herbicide composition consisting of 2-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)hydroxy-methyl]-6-methoxymethyl-N-difluoromethanesulfonylanilide as the component (A) and any compound selected from more than 20 kinds of specific compounds such as orbencarb and the like as the component (B), heretofore not combined with the component (A) compound. Dispensation of the herbicide composition to paddy fields, lawns, dry fields, or non-agricultural lands gives excellent weed-controlling effects on a variety of weeds and causes no or little phytotoxicities on valuable cultivated plants.

A display device of the present invention reduces the occurrence of cracks and breaking of plate-like control electrodes, enhances the operability of assembling and suppresses the reduction of a yield factor of products. The display device includes a back substrate which has a plurality of cathode lines which extend in one direction, are arranged in parallel in another direction which crosses one direction and include electron sources respectively, and a plurality of control electrodes which cross the cathode lines in a non-contact manner within a display region, extend in another direction and are arranged in parallel in one direction on an inner surface thereof, and a front substrate which has anodes and phosphors on an inner surface thereof and faces the back substrate with a given distance therebetween. The control electrodes are formed of plate-like control electrodes. The plate-like control electrode includes electron passing holes which allow electrons emitted from the electron sources to pass therethrough in the display region. Further, the plate-like control electrode has a portion which is fixed to the back substrate in an external non-display region. Still further, the plate-like control electrode has at least a portion in the external non-display region where the strength of the plate-like control electrode is gradually changed toward an end portion thereof in the extending direction.

A thermoplastic resin composition having excellent heat resistance, impact resistance, moldability and platability, which comprises:(i) from 10 to 90% by weight of a thermoplastic polycarbonate;(ii) from 10 to 90% by weight of a graft copolymer obtained by firstly polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising more than 30 and not more than 50% by weight of acrylonitrile and at least 50 and less than 70% by weight of styrene, as monomers for the first stage of graft polymerization, in the presence of a rubber-like polymer, and then polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising from 15 to 40% by weight of acrylonitrile and from 60 to 85% by weight of .alpha.-methylstyrene, as monomers for the second stage of graft polymerization, in the presence of the polymer obtained in the first stage; and(iii) from 0 to 60% by weight of a copolymer obtained by co-polymerizing from 50 to 80% by weight of an aromatic vinyl monomer and from 20 to 50% by weight of a vinyl cyanide monomer;the total amount of components (i), (ii) and (iii) being 100% by weight. The composition is useful for making molded products having excellent heat resistance, impact resistance and platability.

Pushbutton switch configurations are provided in which one or a plurality of pushbutton switches are formed with integrated bases, actuating springs and key top structures to facilitate fabrication of arrays of such switches in a substantially unitary matrix or in line configuration. In a preferred embodiment a metal base is etched to form spring and key top frame patterns which are press formed into key top and vertically extending supporting spring structures integral with the base plate in a desired matrix or line configuration. Epoxy or similar resin material can then be integrated with the key top frame to complete each pushbutton switch. Suitable operating indicia are press formed or etched in the key top surfaces and contrasted with resin as desired.
