Abstract: Methods and systems for handling emergency services in a wireless network. A method disclosed herein includes enabling at least one User Equipment (UE) supporting only Closed Access Group (CAG) cell/non-public network (NPN) to camp onto at least one non-CAG cell/public network cell to access the emergency services. The method further includes enabling the at least one UE to switch behavior of a timer from a periodic registration timer with a “Strictly Periodic Registration Timer Indication” to a normal periodic registration timer/pre-release 16 behavior for performing the emergency services.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for handling emergency services in a wireless network are provided. A method operating a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system may include receiving, from an access and mobility management function (AMF), a strictly periodic registration timer indication with a periodic registration timer value; operating a periodic registration timer in a MICO (Mobile Initiated Connection Only) mode based on the received periodic registration timer value and the strictly periodic registration timer indication; initiating at least one service in the MICO mode; and determining to disable the MICO mode and not to apply the strictly periodic registration timer indication.

Abstract: Accordingly, embodiments herein disclose a method for handling a closed access group (CAG) related procedure in a wireless communication system. A network may receive a radio resource control (RRC) resume request message from a user equipment (UE). The network may determine whether the at least one CAG identifier (ID) broadcasted in a CAG cell is included in an allowed CAG list of the UE (100) in response to the RRC resume request message. The network may proceed with a RRC resume procedure in response to determining that the at least one CAG ID is included in the allowed CAG list.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for providing user equipment (UE) radio access capabilities in a handover procedure. The method includes identifying, by a source next-generation radio access network (NG-RAN), that a target public land mobile network (PLMN) does not support a UE radio access capabilities identifier (RAC ID) assigned by a source PLMN in an inter-PLMN handover procedure. Further, the method includes providing, by the source NG-RAN, to a target NG-RAN, the UE radio access capabilities instead of the UE RAC ID in response to identifying that the target PLMN does not support the UE RAC ID assigned by the source PLMN.

Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling permissions of a UE for accessing a network. A method disclosed herein includes initiating, by a User Equipment (UE), a registration procedure with a serving network for accessing a selected network, wherein the selected network includes one of at least one CAG cell of an NPN and a VPLMN. Abstract: A method for managing a Closed Access Group (CAG) feature using an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) server. The method includes receiving a registration request message from a User Equipment (UE) for registering for a CAG subscription. The method includes determining that the UE is subscribed to access the network through a CAG cell only. The method includes determining whether the registration request message includes a CAG support indicator. The method includes determining whether the UE supports the CAG feature based on the CAG support indicator. The method includes sending either a registration accept message including a CAG information list to the UE when the UE supports the CAG feature, or a registration reject message including a 5GMM cause value other than a 5GMM cause #76 to the UE when the UE does not support the CAG feature.
