Abstract: An electronic device for displaying augmented reality (AR) includes: an optical engine configured to output light of virtual image; a waveguide from which the light of the virtual image is output and through which light of a real scene is transmitted; an optical shutter configured to transmit or block the light of the real scene; a focus tunable lens configured to adjust a focal length for the light of the virtual image output from the waveguide; and one or more processors configured to, during a first period, control the optical shutter to block at least part of a first light of the real scene, and control the focus tunable lens to have a first focal length, and during a second period, control the optical shutter to transmit a second light of the real scene, and control the focus tunable lens to have a second focal length different from the first focal length.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device may include forming a material layer on a substrate, performing a selective oxidation process to form a capping oxide layer on a first surface of the material layer, wherein a second surface of the material layer is not oxidized, and etching the material layer through the second surface to form a material pattern. An etch rate of the capping oxide layer is less than an etch rate of the material layer. A semiconductor device may include a lower electrode on a substrate, a data storage part on a top surface of the lower electrode, an upper electrode on the data storage part, and a capping oxide layer arranged on at least a portion of a top surface of the upper electrode. The capping oxide layer may include an oxide formed by oxidation of an upper surface of the upper electrode.

The selector material pattern may include a first selector material layer including a first material and a second selector material layer including a second material. The second selector material layer may have a threshold voltage drift higher than that of the first material. The second selector material layer may have a second width narrower than a first width of the first selector material layer.

The AR device may obtain an eye vector indicating a direction of the user's view using an eye tracker, adjust a refractive power of a first focus adjustment region of a first variable focus lens to change a focal length for displaying a virtual image, and complementarily adjust a refractive power of a second focus adjustment lens with respect to the adjusted refractive power of the first focus adjustment region.
