A User Interface (UI) apparatus and a method for supporting the same at a user terminal supporting a handwriting-based memo function are provided, in which an application is executed, a memo layer is provided during executing the application, a first input event is received in a first area of the memo layer, a second input event is received in a second area of the memo layer, one of the first and second input events is recognized as a handwriting input and the other input event is recognized as a drawing input based on the first and second input events, and a predetermined function from among functions of the application is performed according to an input recognition result.
Abstract:
Various examples of the present invention relate to a device and a method for improving wireless communication performance in an electronic device. The electronic device comprises multiple antennas, a communication circuit connected to the multiple antennas, a connector, and at least one processor, wherein the processor checks whether a wired cable is connected through the connector and, if the wired cable is connected through the connector, can perform control such that communication using the multiple antennas corresponding to the connection of the wired cable is performed. Other examples can be possible.

A handwriting-based User Interface (UI) apparatus and a method for executing an intended function menu using notes stored in a user terminal supporting a handwriting-based memo function are provided, in which upon user request, a note that has been written by the memo function and stored is retrieved and displayed on a screen. A whole or part of the contents of the displayed note are selected by a first input form. The contents of a note written on the screen by the memo function is designated as a command to execute for the selected whole or part of the contents by a second input form different from the first input form. The selected whole or part of the contents are processed according to the command.

A method and an apparatus for controlling an application by handwriting image recognition are provided. The method includes displaying an executed application on a touch panel, detecting a predefined user input, displaying a memo window including a handwriting input area and a non-handwriting input area over the application in response to the detected the user input, receiving and recognizing a handwriting image in the handwriting input area of the memo window, and controlling a function of the application according to a recognized result.
