摘要: A segment center line is defined for each segment. Each segment center line extends from the center in the circumferential direction of the radially outer end of the segment to the center in the circumferential direction of the radially inner end of the segment. A portion of each segment center line where there is the center in the circumferential direction of the radially inner end is inclined in a first circumferential direction relative to the radial line. A short-circuit member has a plurality of connection pieces. Each connection piece has an outer short-circuit end, an inner short-circuit end, and a coupling portion. Each coupling portion links the outer short-circuit end to the inner short-circuit end, which is shifted in a second circumferential direction from the outer short-circuit end.

摘要: A method and an apparatus of removing works from each of the facilities in a production line is described in order to facilitate changing of a work monitoring operation in accordance with, for example, a layout change in the production line and a change in the facilities. Work tracking conditions are stored in a memory in the form of a table, and work tracking management data and plant status data which have been stored in the memory separately are retrived while the work tracking conditions are referred to, thereby extracting management data for which tracking conditions have been completed. The extracted management data is subjected to processing such as movement and updating in accordance with the contents of the above-described data which are referred to. In addition, in order to efficiently effect a process monitoring operation for each lot even when the arrangement of a lot consisting of a plurality of works joined together arbitrarily changes, such as, as a result of dividing the lot into a plurality of sub-lots, the arrangement of each lot is stored in the form of data of a tree structure, whereby the lot arrangement is readily changed by changing the tree structure.

摘要: System for controlling flow rate in pipelines connecting a plurality of reservoirs is disclosed. Flow rate Q.sub.ij (t) of fluid flowing from one reservoir (i) to another reservoir (j) is first calculated from the water levels H.sub.i (t), H.sub.j (t) of both reservoirs (i), (j) and then water level H.sub.j (t+1) of the reservoir (j) at the time (t+1) is calculated from its inflow and outflow taking into account the predicted amount of demand Q.sub.je (t).If the water level h.sub.j (t+1) is below or over the predetermined lower or upper limitation, manipulated variables for valves and pumps installed in pipelines are regulated to control inflow of the reservoir (j) so that the required fluid-feed is satisfied while maintaining the scheduled water level of the reservoir (j).

摘要: In a method of regulating optical axes of headlights for an automotive vehicle so that a light intensity boundary of low beam of headlights lies within a predetermined range displayed on a monitor TV, light intensity boundary points are detected along vertical lines arranged at predetermined picture element intervals in the horizontal direction; the detected boundary points are connected to determine a light intensity boundary line composed of horizontal and inclined lines; and the optical axes of the headlights are so regulated that the determined light intensity boundary line lies within the predetermined range on the monitor TV, thus enabling the headlight regulating work to be effected automatically for each vehicle at high speed and high reliability.

摘要: Method and apparatus for optimum distribution of water supplied to consumers is disclosed. At selected nodes of a network from which water is supplied to consumers, the actual water consumption is measured to detect a standard pattern for water demand in each selected area. Next, predicted demand patterns for each and every node are determined by comparing the characteristics or attributes of each area with those of areas having standard demand patterns. Thirdly, manipulated variables of pumps and valves installed in the pipeline network are controlled on the basis of predicted demand patterns.

摘要: A flood control system for a dam provides for measuring the actual water level of the dam and for calculating the deviation value between a set reference water level and the actual water level. Proportional-position control over the gate angle is then performed in response to the calculated water deviation level and means is provided for determining the outflow of water to be discharged from the dam in response to the value obtained by this control.
