A plurality of control lines and data wires are arranged in a matrix-like manner on a monocrystalline Si substrate, to thereby form element regions on the substrate. The element regions each are formed therein with a circuit element, on which a field emission section is laminated. The circuit elements each include a first transistor connected to both data wire and control wire and functioning as a switching element, a capacitor serving as a circuit for storing therein a signal input thereto, and a second transistor for amplifying a signal input thereto and feeding it to the field emission section.

    摘要: A field emission type display device including a container formed of an anode substrate, a cathode substrate and side wall portions, and a cover member mounted at the container to form a getter room. An anode lead is securely fixed on the cover member so as to be derived outward from the outer wall confronting the anode substrate. Two wires are attached to the front end of the anode lead. When the cover member is mounted on the container, the curved portions of the two wires is pressed against the anode terminal formed on the anode substrate extended to the end of the anode substrate to secure electric conduction between the anode terminal and the anode lead. This structure provides easy-to-use anode leads which can be simply derived as electrodes.

    摘要: An FEC type fluorescent display device capable of carrying out a segment display of a small capacity. The fluorescent display device includes a substrate; a field emission cathode including a cathode electrode, an emitter and a gate electrode and arranged provided on an inner surface of the substrate for every display unit or digit; a front cover arranged opposite to the substrate for every digit; and a phosphor-deposited anode electrode arranged on an inner surface of the front cover for digit so as to face the field emission cathode. Any one of the cathode electrode, gate electrode and anode electrode is divided into a plurality of segments in a shape of a luminous display section for every digit, resulting in being a segmented electrode. Another one of the cathode electrode, gate electrode and anode electrode acts as a display selecting electrode corresponding to the display unit, resulting in a segment display being carried out.
