摘要: In an apparatus for preventing theft of equipment (electric wheelchair) having a prime mover (electric motor), a prime mover controller, and an authenticator that acquires ID information from an electronic key when the key is brought close thereto by an operator, determines whether the acquired ID information corresponds with authentication ID information, and permits the controller to start the prime mover when the acquired ID information is determined to correspond with authentication ID information, the controller stores operating history of the equipment, and the authenticator acquires the history from the controller when the key is brought close thereto and transmits the acquired history to the key when the key is brought close thereto, thereby making it easy to acquire the operating history of the equipment.

摘要: In a system for preventing an equipment such as lawnmower from theft, there are equipped with an internal combustion engine that is mounted on the equipment and is equipped with a generator that generates electric operating power when the engine is operated, a recoil starter to be manipulatable by an operator to operate the engine, an electronic key that is adapted to be carried by the operator and stores authenticating data for identifying the operator who carries the electronic key; and an authenticator that is installed at the equipment and performs authentication check as to whether the electronic key is an authorized key using stored key-checking data, when the authenticating data is outputted from the electronic key. In the system, the authenticator performs the authentication check when the electric operating power is supplied from the generator, thereby enabling to be installed in battery-less equipment and ensure to prevent the equipment from theft.

摘要: In an apparatus installed on a boat for identifying and controlling operation of an outboard motor selected by an operator and clamped to the boat from among outboard motors in different models prepared to be selectable by the operator, including a model having an analog device that produces analog signal and a model having a digital device that converts the analog signal produced by the analog device into a digital signal, it is discriminated whether the inputted signal is the analog signal inputted through the analog signal input/output or the digital signal inputted through the digital signal input/output, and the model of the selected outboard motor is identified based on the discriminated signal, thereby enabling to surely identify the model and control its operation.

摘要: In a system for or method of data writing using a CPU and a plurality of memory banks connected to the CPU to enable the CPU to write the data thereon, a combination of data comprising data and their complement are written on a first memory bank and the same combination of data are written on a second memory bank, a sum of the combination of data written on the first and second memory banks is calculated, and when the sum of the combination of data written on one of the first and second memory banks is a specific value, it is determined that the data written on the one of the first and second memory banks are normal. With this, it becomes possible to surely determine whether the written data are normal or not, thereby enabling to enhance the data reliability.

摘要: In a failure detection system of coils that produce outputs in response to rotation of a crankshaft of a general-purpose engine (including a power coil that produces an output indicative of the engine speed), the outputs produced by the coils are inputted to determine whether the coils produce the outputs, and it is discriminated that one of the coils (i.e., power coil) has failed when the coil does not produce the output, thereby enabling detection of failure such as wire breaking of the power coil and preventing overrunning of the engine and other such problems.

摘要: An inspection method is conducted after the assembly of an industrial engine is complete. An identification code assigned to an industrial engine is read. Basic engine specification data and device-specific engine specification data that correspond to the read identification code are extracted from a database to a completion inspection unit. Various inspections are conducted on the individual engine by the completion inspection unit on the basis of the extracted basic engine specification data. The device-specific engine specification data of the engine that has passed the inspection is written into memory. A confirmation inspection is then conducted by a device-specific inspection machine to determine whether the engine has the output characteristics required by the mounting device.

摘要: The invention makes an output sharing of an engine and an electric motor proper so as to suitably drive a load. When a throttle opening degree variation amount ΔV is within a ΔV1, an engine E can drive a power generator G at a rated revolution speed. A switching circuit 28 is switched in such a manner as to charge a battery 27 by a generated power. When the opening degree variation amount ΔV becomes larger than the ΔV1, a power assist of operating the power generator G as the electric motor is set to be standby. When the opening degree variation amount ΔV is more than ΔV2 (>ΔV1), the power assist is started. In the power assist, an angle advance amount is increased. When acceleration is insufficient, it is possible to further increase a conduction angle in stages.

摘要: In an apparatus for preventing theft of plural, such as two, outboard motors (12F, 12S) adapted to be mounted on a boat, each of the outboard motors having an engine (16F, 16S), an engine controller (24F, 24S), and an authenticator (26F, 26S) that acquires ID information (A, B) from an electronic key (30F, 30S) when the key is brought close thereto by an operator, and gives permission to the engine controller to start the engine when the acquired ID information corresponds with the authentication ID information, and communicates with the engine controller of other outboard motor to notify that the permission to start the engine was given, thereby enabling the operator to easily start the outboard motors installed on one boat and having their respective authenticators.
