摘要: In a system for preventing an equipment such as lawnmower from theft, there are equipped with an internal combustion engine that is mounted on the equipment and is equipped with a generator that generates electric operating power when the engine is operated, a recoil starter to be manipulatable by an operator to operate the engine, an electronic key that is adapted to be carried by the operator and stores authenticating data for identifying the operator who carries the electronic key; and an authenticator that is installed at the equipment and performs authentication check as to whether the electronic key is an authorized key using stored key-checking data, when the authenticating data is outputted from the electronic key. In the system, the authenticator performs the authentication check when the electric operating power is supplied from the generator, thereby enabling to be installed in battery-less equipment and ensure to prevent the equipment from theft.

摘要: A security system for a construction machine including a construction machine equipped with a body controller for storing a first password, management apparatus arranged in a location apart from the construction machine and a portable communications unit for storing a second password provided communicably with the management apparatus and the body controller. The portable communications unit, receiving the first password from the management apparatus, replaces the second password with the first password. The body controller determines whether the second password output from the portable communications unit coincides with the first password. In case these passwords coincide with each other, an engine drive signal is output. Otherwise the engine is kept inoperable. This prevents possible theft of a construction machine.

摘要: An arrangement for monitoring functions of a work machine comprises an electronically readable identification means that is assigned to identifier associated with an operator of the work machine; a user interface; a processor; and at least one control device, wherein the at least one control device is configured to control operations of the work machine or an implement coupled to the work machine in response to receipt of an output signal generated by the processor. The processor is configured to execute a set of instructions stored on a memory such that when executed the processor is programmed to: read out the electronically readable identifier and obtain, via the user interface, an input selection of a desired device function assigned in an authorization database to the electronically readable identifier and to activate a desired function for a limited time.

摘要: A vehicle immobiliser having an input device configured to receive a code and an output device configured to issue an instruction to a controller of a vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle immobiliser may be configured to prevent an operation of the vehicle when the vehicle immobiliser is armed and allow an operation of the vehicle when the vehicle immobiliser is disarmed. The vehicle immobiliser may also be configured to operate in a first life-state and a subsequent second life-state. The vehicle immobiliser may enter the second life-state only after being disarmed in the first life-state. When the vehicle immobiliser is armed and in a first life-state, the vehicle immobiliser may be disarmed upon receiving the code that satisfies a first disarming condition. Similarly, when the vehicle immobiliser is armed and in a second life-state, the vehicle immobiliser may be disarmed upon receiving the code that satisfies a second disarming condition.

摘要: A hydraulic excavator (1) includes a wireless authentication device (52) performing wireless authentication with a portable key device (51) and a vehicle body controller (48) for starting an engine (15) based on authentication by the wireless authentication device (52) and an operation of a start switch (12). The wireless authentication device (52) transmits a request signal within an authenticable range and performs authentication when it receives an ID code for authentication replied from the portable key device (51) based on the transmitted request signal. The vehicle body controller (48) prohibits driving of a hydraulic actuator (5E, 5F, 5G, 5H, 2E, 2F, 3A) when the portable key device (51) is outside of the authenticable range even if a gate lock lever (13) has been switched to an unlock position.

The wireless authentication starting device (37) switches an “engine stop/conduction OFF” state to an “engine stop/conduction ON” state when, in the “engine stop/conduction OFF” state, the portable key (38) is within an authenticable range, the gate lock lever (13) is at an unlock position, and the power switch (12) is operated.

摘要: An identification system is provided for a vehicle-implement system wherein a selected one of a plurality of different implements is coupled to the vehicle. Each of the plurality of implements has a unique corresponding component or actuator. A component sensor senses a condition of the component, such as the position of the piston of a hydraulic cylinder. The sensor generates a sensor signal which has a signal characteristic (such as a frequency) which has a plurality of values. each frequency value is unique to a corresponding one of the components. A signal processing unit receives the sensor signal and identifies the selected implement as a function of the value of the characteristic of the sensor signal.
