    摘要: A method performed by an Access and mobility Management Function (AMF). The method includes receiving from a Session Management Function (SMF) a request to establish User Plane (UP) for a user equipment's (UE's) protocol data unit (PDU) session. The request includes information indicating an access type. The method also includes, in response to the request, performing the steps of: determining that the UE is in the idle state with respect to both a 3GPP access and a non-3GPP access and, as a result of determining that the UE is in the idle state with respect to both a 3GPP access and a non-3GPP access, the AMF initiates paging of the UE by the 3GPP access, the paging initiation comprising transmitting to a Radio Access Network, RAN, node a page request to page the UE.

    摘要: The embodiments herein relate to a method in a gateway node for handling a RAN-CN data connection between the gateway node and a RAN node in a communications system. The gateway node receives a data suspend indication indicating that at least one RAN-CN data connection for the UE should be suspended. When the data suspend indication has been received, the gateway node stores resume information associated with the RAN node. The gateway node suspends the RAN-CN data connection according to the received data suspend indication. The gateway node receives a data resume indication indicating that the at least one RAN-CN data connection for the UE should be resumed. The gateway node resumes the at least one RAN-CN data connection for the UE using the stored resume information.

    摘要: The invention relates to methods and devices for enabling relocation of Access and Mobility Management Functions (AMFs). In an aspect of the invention a method performed by a Non-3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Interworking Function (14, N3IWF) enabling a wireless communication device (10) to attach to a core network (100) over non-3GPP access, to facilitate re-location of the wireless communication device (10) from an Access and Mobility Management Function (13, AMF) currently serving the wireless communication device (10) over non-3GPP access to the core network (100), to a target AMF (21) which is to serve the wireless communication device (10) over 3GPP access to the core network (100). The method comprises receiving (S119a), from the target AMF (21), a request to redirect any further signalling of the wireless communication device (10) from the currently serving AMF (13) to the target AMF (21); and redirecting any signalling of the wireless communication device (10) to the target AMF (21).

In one embodiment, a method performed by a first Network Repository Function (NRF) comprises receiving a discovery request from a NF service consumer for one or more NF profiles of one or more NF instances deployed in a separate entity, the discovery request comprising a realm or domain name of an associated User Equipment (UE). The method further comprises identifying a second NRF in a separate entity based on the realm or domain name of the associated UE and sending a discovery request to the second NRF for the one or more NF profiles of the one or more NF instances deployed in the separate entity. Corresponding embodiments of a first NRF are also disclosed.

    摘要: A method performed in a mobility management node includes the mobility management node receiving a first Packet Data Network (PDN) activation request from a wireless local area network (WLAN) access gateway, the first PDN activation request specifying an access point name (APN) and a tunnel endpoint identifier (TEID) parameter for identifying the WLAN access gateway, the WLAN access gateway connected to a user equipment (UE). The method further includes in response to receiving the PDN activation request, the mobility management node (i) selecting a Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW) based on the specified APN, (ii) generating a second PDN activation session request that includes the TEID parameter for identifying the WLAN access gateway, (iii) selecting a serving gateway (SGW), and (iv) forwarding the second PDN activation request to the selected SGW.
