摘要: It is to provide a porous film which is excellent in gas permeability (air permeability) and moisture permeability (water vapor permeability), and is excellent in anti-leakage properties and anti-bleeding properties against a liquid, hiding properties and masking properties at an adhesion portion, and a process for producing it. A porous film obtained by melting and kneading a resin composition containing a polyolefin resin {component (A)} and a bulking agent {component (B)} as the main components, and a silicone {component (C)}, or a silicone {component (C)} and castor oil {component (D)}, followed by drawing, which shrinks by from 40 to 95% in one direction and expands by from 5 to 40% in a direction transverse thereto, when soaked in a silicone oil of 200 C for 60 seconds, and a process for producing the above porous film, are provided.

摘要: A system for communication between components in a computer storage system includes a drive enclosure device having a plurality of disk drives. A switch module is electrically coupled to the drive enclosure device. The module has a plurality of physical layer links (PHYs). The module generates out-of-band (OOB) signals to transmit to the drive enclosure device, detects an active drive enclosure device by interrogating the PHYs, and sends a serial management protocol (SMP) instruction to the drive enclosure device to perform a task.

摘要: A method and apparatus for forming a layer of plating on a base material and a method for manufacturing a three dimensional object. The plating apparatus includes a nozzle for delivering a stream of plating fluid and an electric source for applying a voltage between the base material and the nozzle. The nozzle has an outer wall and a stem located at its center. The nozzle delivers plating fluid from the opening of the nozzle in an annular manner to produce a stream that has a substantially uniform flow velocity when the stream hits the base material. In an another embodiment, the nozzle has surrounding conduit for conducting air. The air increases the velocity of a peripheral portion of the stream. To manufacture a three dimensional object, a plating layer is deposited, and the nozzle is moved to form a desired shape while piling the layer.

摘要: An earthquake resistant structure for mounting on a base having a limited available surface has an upper bearing and a lower bearing compactly arranged, one with a convex surface and the other with a concave surface, in contact with each other to transmit load between a bridge and a supporting pier, for example, the bearings being slidable relative to each other; a pin is provided for fixing the upper and lower bearings and an extraction preventing member prevents the bearings from separating from each other; a seal member is disposed between the upper bearing and the lower bearing; and a dust prevention and anti-corrosion cover are provided to assure long-time use.

摘要: Because cable length affects signal quality, amplifying signals differently to account for cable length (“tuning”) becomes especially important when high speed signals are used. Cable length information may be stored in a non-volatile memory which may be integrated into a cable assembly or may be a discrete component between the cable and an interface. Rather than using a dedicated data line to the memory component a ground line may be connected to the memory component and multiplexed. During normal operation the selected line is grounded through a switching device. When a cable is detected, a management controller changes the state of the switching device to decouple the selected line from ground to allow the management controller access to the data stored in the memory component, including cable length information. The selected line is then re-coupled to ground and interface circuits may be tuned for the cable length.
