摘要: A motion vector is derived with high accuracy while avoiding deriving of an erroneous motion. A stereoscopic image display device 100 includes an image acquisition unit 148 for acquiring stereoscopic image data and a vector deriving unit 158 that derives correlation values representing correlation strength between each reference-part image data constituting image data in segmented areas of an arbitrary first frame 204 of the stereoscopic image data and objective-part image data being image data in segmented areas of a second frame 206 different from the first frame and that extracts the objective-part image data having the highest correlation value to the reference-part image data to derive the motion vector, with respect to each reference-part image data. The vector deriving unit derives the correlation values between the reference-part image data and the objective-part image data, both of which belong to the right-eye image data 202b, or the correlation values between the reference-part image data and the objective-part image data, both of which belong to the left-eye image data 202a.

摘要: In a distributed processing management apparatus, server 3 has a node table 5, a job management table 6 and a job class table 7 in order to manage the resource status such as the CPU operating ratio of each node in every predetermined time period. When the operating ratio of the CPU and other elements of a node rises after the input of a job and the speed of executing the input job falls, the server 3 re-inputs the job from the current node 2a to some other node 2b. With this arrangement, it is possible to improve the overall TAT and effectively exploit computer resources in grid computer environment.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for decomposing bromate ions contained in a liquid. The method includes the sequential steps of bringing the liquid into contact with a photocatalyst; and irradiating the photocatalyst with a light ray having an energy that is not lower than that of a band gap of the photocatalyst, thereby generating a photocatalytic reaction to decompose the bromate ions. The invention further relates an apparatus for decomposing bromate ions contained in a liquid. The apparatus includes a first section for generating therein a photocatalytic reaction to decompose the bromate ions; a photocatalyst adapted to be brought into contact with the liquid in the first section; and a light source for irradiating the photocatalyst with the light ray such that the photocatalytic reaction is generated in the first section when the photocatalyst is in contact with the liquid. Thus, it is possible to efficiently and stably decompose the bromate ions. The photocatalyst may be at least one metal oxide including titanium and a metal having an electronegativity lower than that of titanium. In this case, it is possible to omit pH adjustments of the liquid before and after the photocatalytic reaction.

摘要: The present invention provides a therapeutic agent for treatment of diabetes and hyperlipemia, especially a therapeutic agent for treatment of type II diabetes mellitus, which comprises as the active ingredient a neurotrophic factor such as BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), ligands of trkB or trkC receptors, NGF, NT-3, NT-4/5, CNTF, GDNF, HGF, etc. Different from conventional oral hypoglycemic agents being mainly used in the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus, the agent of the present invention exhibit blood lipid regulating effects and body fat accumulation regulating effects, in addition to the blood glucose regulating effects. Thus, the agent of the present invention are novel, and can reduce the risk factors in diabetes accompanied by hyperlipemia or obesity, without using any other agent.

摘要: A vehicle axle suspension system including wheel support members for rotatably supporting road wheels, a suspension member for supporting the road wheel support members for vertical swinging movement, and elastic suspension elements. The elastic suspension elements include a pair of front elastic suspension elements provided at different suspension points in front of the road wheel support members for elastically mounting the suspension member to the vehicle and a pair of rear elastic suspension elements provided at different suspension points behind the road wheel support members for elastically mounting the suspension member to the vehicle. The elastic suspension elements are positioned to provide an understeer characteristic when a lateral force acts on a suspension roll center determined by suspension geometry to rotate the suspension member around a virtual roll axis extending through an elastic center of the front elastic suspension elements and an elastic center of the rear elastic suspension elements.

摘要: In a planetary gear set, a pinion shaft extending through one of planetary pinions has one and opposite end portions supported by two spaced plate portions of a carrier. Needle bearings are disposed between the pinion and the pinion shaft. Pinion washers extend around the piston shaft and radially between the pinions and the adjacent plate portions of the carrier. In order to withstand a thrust which the needle bearings are subjected to, the pinion washers have integral portions extending axially into spaces defined between the pinion, the needle bearings and the spaced plate portions of the carrier. Alternatively, the pinion shaft may have integral portions extending radially into the spaces.
