Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an blocking delivery service is provided. The service may use an identifier of a source end device, destination address information associated with a destination end device, and configurable criteria as a basis to block delivery of application service layer data. The service may be configured to apply to end devices based on an addressing scheme of the service. The service may be configured on a network device that provides an application service. The service may block delivery without the use of class of service or subscriber provisioning.

The computer device may be further configured to select a number of base station cells to which the computer device is to send a paging message based on the determined paging policy and page the UE device using the selected number of base station cells.

Abstract: An improved method and system of optimizing handling and sending of reachability notifications for a UE is disclosed. Solutions and implementations disclosed provide an efficient mechanism for determining the timing and duration of reachability periods for a UE and as a result predicting future reachability periods. This enables sending of one notification with sufficient information to inform the network of the time periods during which the UE is reachable instead of sending a notification each time the device becomes reachable.

Since the information is obtained and stored prior to requests, the location information may be provided, in response to requests, relatively quickly.

Abstract: A user device may be used to prevent a user from driving a vehicle while distracted by the user device. The user device may create a user profile, determine whether the user is driving, and collect usage data while the user is driving. The user profile may include information regarding the driver's propensity to be distracted while driving and the usage data may include information on whether the user is actually distracted by the user device. The user device may determine whether the driver is distracted based on the user profile and the usage data, and may respond in one or more ways, such as by alerting the driver with an audio signal, disabling a feature of the user device, logging instances of user distraction with a diagnostics device, activating a braking system of the vehicle, warning nearby drivers about the driver being distracted, and more.

Abstract: A Device Roaming State Server (DRSS) may: receive a request, from a mobile device attached to a first network, to provide the mobile device with a Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number (MSISDN). The mobile device has an external identifier (ID) but does not have an MSISDN. The DRSS is in a second network. The DRSS may then authenticate the mobile device at the second network. If the mobile device is successfully authenticated, the DRSS may select a temporary MSISDN from a pool of available MSISDNs; associate the temporary MSISDN with the external ID in a database; and provide the mobile device with the MSISDN.
