    摘要: An implantable medical support frame (104) having a central longitudinally extending axis is expandable from a collapsed configuration having a first diameter to an expanded configuration having a second diameter. The frame also includes an anchoring mechanism with an elongate member (110). At least a portion of the elongate member is slidably disposed within a retaining structure when the frame is in the collapsed configuration. When the frame expands from the collapsed configuration to the expanded configuration, a portion of the elongate member is advanced out of the retaining structure such that the portion of the elongate member protrudes radially outward of the frame at an angle to the axis, thereby forming an anchor. A length of the protruding portion of the anchor increases as the frame expands from the collapsed configuration to the expanded configuration.

    摘要: A strut, or beam, is provided for intraluminal devices. Strain which is introduced into a stent or other intraluminal device is distributed more evenly along the length of the improved strut by maintaining a substantially constant strain level along the length of an end portion. This may increase fatigue life or improve the performance of devices using the improved strut. The strain along the length of the end portion may be maintained substantially constant by varying a section property of the strut, including the width, thickness, cross-sectional area, material property or other characteristic of the end portion.

    摘要: A stent includes a radially expandable tubular structure having a first end, a second end, and a primary strut arrangement extending over substantially an entire length thereof. The primary strut arrangement includes a plurality of rows of struts. The struts are interconnected within each row in a sinusoidal arrangement about a circumference of the tubular structure. Crests and troughs in the sinusoidal arrangement include connection points of the struts. A plurality of longitudinal struts connect neighboring rows of struts at the connection points. In each row, four circumferentially adjacent struts are disposed between every two longitudinal struts joined to the row. One of the two longitudinal struts extends in a direction of the first end to a first neighboring row, and the other of the two longitudinal struts extends in a direction of the second end to a second neighboring row.
