Abstract:
A shelving mobilization assembly comprises a support adjustably retained within a channel formed in a pair of castor assemblies, the pair of castor assemblies each include an integrally formed U-shaped cross section between a plurality of castors. The support fits in the channel, and each end of the support and each of the pair of castor assemblies incorporate an interlocking tab and slots arranged such that the interlocking tab engages one of the slots, when the support fits in the channel of each of the pair of castor assemblies. The interlocking tab and corresponding slot adjustably retains the support in the channels of each of the pair of castor assemblies, such that the length between the pair of castor assemblies is defined at a fixed length, when the shelving is supported by the support. A tie-bar is capable joining one shelving mobilization assembly to a neighboring shelving mobilization assembly to maintain a fixed spacing between the one shelving mobilization assembly and the neighboring shelving mobilization assembly.

Methods of generating a help files are presented including: accessing a user model, where the user model defines a number of objects and a number of relationships between the number of objects; selecting an object of the user model; receiving a text file corresponding with the object; creating a component of the help file from the text file; selecting an additional object of the user model, the additional object having a relationship with the object, the relationship corresponding with the number of relationships; and creating an additional component of the help file corresponding with the additional object. In some embodiments, methods further include: detecting a change to the user model; and regenerating the help file to incorporate the change. In some embodiments, methods are presented where the additional component includes: a link to the additional object, and a link to a respective text file of the additional object.

Abstract:
In accordance with illustrative embodiments, methods and apparati, which determine jitter are described. In one example embodiment, a method includes receiving a signal, wherein the signal comprises a first data pattern which was generated at a first bit rate. The method also includes sampling the signal at a second bit rate to generate a second data pattern. The period of the second bit rate is different from the period of the first bit rate. The method also includes comparing the first data pattern and the second data pattern to determine differences between the first data pattern and the second data pattern. Furthermore, the method includes determining jitter in the signal according to the differences between the first data pattern and the data second data pattern. In other embodiments, by using two different bit rates to determine jitter, jitter can be determined in communication systems in a convenient and cost effective manner.
Abstract:
An SRAM memory cell is provided having a pair of cross-coupled CMOS inverters. The sources of the pull-up transistors forming each of the CMOS inverters are coupled to VCC through parasitic resistance of the substrate in which each is formed. The source of the p-type pull-up transistor is therefore always at a potential less than or equal to the potential of the N-well such that the emitter-base junction of the parasitic PNP transistor cannot become forward biased and latch-up cannot occur.
Abstract:
A method for removing a chromide coating from the surface of a substrate is described. The coating is treated with a composition which includes an acid having the formula HxAF6, where “A” can be Si, Ge, Ti, Zr, Al, or Ga; and x is 1-6. An exemplary acid is hexafluorosilicic acid. The composition may also include a second acid, such as phosphoric acid or nitric acid. In some instances, a third acid is employed, such as hydrochloric acid. A related repair method for replacing a worn or damaged chromide coating is described. The coating is often applied to portions of turbine engine components made from superalloy materials.

A system and method for testing the sensitivity of optical components comprises providing an optical testing unit which measures the sensitivity of an optical device under test (DUT). The optical testing unit includes an optical transmitter, which transmits an optical test signal that is transmitted to the DUT; an optical receiver, which receives an input signal from the DUT; a graphical user interface, which provides an interface with a user; and a controller, selectively coupled to the transmitter, the receiver and the graphical user interface, wherein the controller provides a central control of the transmitter, the receiver and the graphical user interface.
Abstract:
A combination of an electrical cable hanger, anchor assembly and coupling assembly, and methods of forming and using such a combination. The hanger is preferably formed from a wire rod and is shaped to be fastened to a surface/substrate such as a concrete, wood, or metal overhead deck or side wall. The hanger preferably comprises an integral fastening loop and stabilizing segment at one end that provides a stabilizing footprint on the substrate. The coupling assembly couples the anchor assembly to the fastening loop, is suitable for use with a variety of fastener types, and facilitates the use of a rigid hanger as well as rigidly coupling the hanger to the side wall, deck, or other surface.
Abstract:
A plurality of images, including a first image and a second image having a higher resolution than the first image, are aligned by generating an oversampled cross correlation image that corresponds to relative displacements of the first and second images, and, based on the oversampled cross correlation image, determining an offset value that corresponds to a misalignment of the first and second images. The first and second images are aligned to a precision greater than the resolution of the first image, based on the determined offset value. Enhanced results are achieved by performing another iteration of generating an oversampled cross correlation image and determining an offset value for the first and second images. Generating the oversampled cross correlation image may involve generating a cross correlation image that corresponds to relative displacements of the first and second images, and oversampling the cross correlation image to generate the oversampled cross correlation image.
Abstract:
An adaptive cursor for interpreting displays of grouped data words highlights all of the bits of a segment associated with the bit position of the cursor. The grouped data words are extracted as an ancillary block from a serial digital input signal block. The format for the grouped data words is stored in a programmable read only memory (PROM). A microprocessor accesses the PROM according to the bit position of the cursor to determine the bits that make up the segment, and causes the segment to be highlighted. The microprocessor also decodes the segment to provide a corresponding alphanumeric display.
