    摘要: A device embodiment is configured to deliver vagal stimulation therapy (VST) to a vagus nerve of a patient. The device embodiment includes a neural stimulator, an implantable impedance sensor and an impedance analyzer. The neural stimulator is configured to deliver the VST to the vagus nerve in a cervical region of the patient. The implantable impedance sensor is configured to detect impedance changes in a cervical region of the patient caused by laryngeal vibrations. The impedance sensor is configured to generate sensed impedance values. The impedance analyzer is configured to analyze the sensed impedance values generated by the sensor. The analyzer is configured to detect laryngeal vibrations or cough from the sensed impedance values.

    摘要: A method of processing a motion blurred image from an imaging device to recover a latent sharp image. The method includes capturing a motion blurred image signal through the imaging device, computing a second signal as a two-dimensional wavelet transform of the motion blurred image signal, and using the second signal to perform a first autocorrelation analysis to estimate the blur kernel. After estimating the blur kernel, a local autocorrelation analysis yields a blur kernel length and direction at each pixel location of the motion blurred image. In addition, the second signal is denoised and the discrete wavelet transform coefficients reconstructed from the blur kernel length and direction. Performing an inverse discrete wavelet transform of the discrete wavelet transform coefficients recovers the latent sharp image.

The browser also renders, in the frame, the additional information. The browser displays the expanded inline frame, such that the displayed frame covers a portion of the content.

    摘要: An interferometer system is disclosed. The interferometer system includes two spaced apart reference flats having corresponding reference surfaces forming a cavity therebetween for placement of a polished opaque plate. The surfaces of the plate are approximately 2.5 millimeters or less from the corresponding reference surfaces when the plate is placed in the cavity. The interferometer system also includes two interferometer devices located on diametrically opposite sides of the cavity to map the surfaces of the plate. A light source is optically coupled to the interferometer devices. The light source includes an illuminator configured for producing light of multiple wavelengths and an optical amplitude modulator configured for stabilizing power of the light produced by the illuminator. The interferometer system further includes two interferogram detectors, and at least one computer coupled to receive the outputs of the interferogram detectors for determining thickness variations of the plate.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method of treating a cancerous condition mediated by the protein MDS1-EVI1 (ME). The method includes administering to a patient an amount of an inhibitor of ME protein activity that is effective to cause cell death of cancer cells that are ME-dependent, thereby treating the cancerous condition. The present invention further relates to a method of causing cell death of a cancer cell that requires MDS1-EVI1 (ME) for survival. The method includes introducing an inhibitor of ME activity into a cancer cell that requires ME for survival, whereby said introducing is effective to cause cancer cell death. Novel agents that can inhibit the activity of ME in vitro or in vivo are also disclosed.
