Accordingly, it is possible to drastically prolong the lifetime of a rolling bearing operating under high vibration and load such as bearing for alternator.

Hence, stresses are locally set up in the surface layers of the rolling contact surfaces which are smaller than the allowable shearing stress, so that the rolling contact surfaces are prevented from the peeling damage.
