摘要： This invention relates to sealing and bearing means by use of ferrofluid, in which a magnet is utilized effectively in cooperation with grooves engraved on one surface thereof, the grooves having the function for generating the dynamic pressure of the ferrofluid. The ferrofluid is retained in a gap between a rotary shaft and a magnet of cylindrical or disc type enclosing the rotary shaft concentrically. The magnet performs excellent two functions of bearing and sealing respectively.

摘要： A bearing with dynamic pressure grooves includes an outer cylinder made of a metal and a resin sheet bonded to the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder. The resin sheet is made of a thermoplastic resin, for example, a polytetra fluoroethylene, as a main component mixed with a wear-resistant improving material, for example, graphite or the like. The resin sheet is formed with a pattern of dynamic pressure generating grooves formed in an inner surface by plastic work. The pattern of grooves is varied depending on the types of relative movement between the outer cylinder and a shaft body, i.e., whether an axial linear movement, a rotational movement, or a spiral movement.

摘要： The present invention provides a dynamic pressure bearing apparatus comprising a cylindrical bearing member, and a rotary shaft disposed within a cylindrical bore of the cylindrical bearing member, and wherein the bearing member has a thrust bearing surface provided at a bottom of the cylindrical bore, a radial bearing surface provided on an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical bearing member, and a lubricating oil reservoir provided at an opening portion of the cylindrical bore and having a diameter greater than that of the radial bearing surface, and the rotary shaft has a radial receiving surface opposed to the radial bearing surface with the interposition of a radial bearing gap, and a thrust receiving surface opposed to the thrust bearing surface, and further wherein the bearing member is closed at the bottom thereof, a dynamic pressure generating groove is formed in at least one of the radial bearing surface and the radial receiving surface, and the dynamic pressure generating groove generates a force for flowing lubricating oil between the bearing member and the rotary shaft toward the opening portion of the cylindrical bore.

The cage retains a sufficient amount of a lubricating oil at a high rate of retention so that a lubricating action can be maintained in a stable manner for a prolonged period of time, and it is produced at low cost.
