Abstract:
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing with a number of through holes extending therethrough, a number of contacts assembled to the insulative housing, and a number of solder balls disposed in the though holes and each is clasped by the tail and insulative housing. Each contact includes a vertical base portion secured to a first side of the through hole, a contact engaging arm extending from a top end of the base portion, and a solder portion extending from a bottom end of the base portion. The solder portion has a wave arrangement below the base portion and projecting from the base portion to a second side of the through hole which opposites to said first side, and a tail extending downwardly from the wave arrangement and capable of moving from the first side to the second side.
Abstract:
An electrical connector assembly electrically connecting a CPU and a printed circuit board includes an electrical connector mounted on the printed circuit board, and a heat dissipating device mounted upon the CPU. The heat dissipating device includes a load plate, a heat pipe, and a heat plate. The load plate is mounted upon the CPU under condition that heat generated from the CPU is absorbed by the heat pipe and the heat plate. The load plate is sandwiched between the heat plate and the heat pipe. The load plate has two clips each of which has two cantilever arms extending toward and engaging with the other clip.
Abstract:
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing defining a plurality of passageways and a plurality of contacts disposed in the passageways by two arrangement manners. Each contact includes a mating portion located at an upper end and a soldering portion located at a bottom end. Wherein a first arrangement manner is that neighboring mating portions defined a distance in a same row is smaller than a distance defined by corresponding neighboring soldering portions, and neighboring mating portions defined a distance in a same column is equal to a distance defined by corresponding neighboring soldering portions. A second arrangement manner is that neighboring mating portions defined a distance in both a same row and a same column is smaller than a distance defined by corresponding neighboring soldering portions.
Abstract:
A socket connector includes a socket body, a plurality of contact terminals received in the socket body. The socket body includes an upper surface, a plurality of sidewalls extending upwardly from the upper surface. The upper surface and the sidewalls jointly define a cavity for receiving an IC package therein. A plurality of protrusions extend upwardly from the upper surface and formed separately from the sidewall. The protrusions being discretely distributed at periphery of the IC package and thereby positioning the IC package.
Abstract:
An LGA socket used for connecting a chip module and a print circuit board includes an insulative housing and a number of terminals received in the housing. The housing has a top surface and a bottom surface opposite to each other. Each of the terminals includes an upper arm extending beyond the top surface of the housing and a lower arm extending beyond the bottom surface of the housing. The upper arms and the lower arms of the terminals extend from the base portion with different lengths so as to form different pitches at top and bottom surfaces of the housing.
Abstract:
An electrical connector (1) comprises a base (10) with a plurality of contacts (19) received therein, a cover (12) slidably mounted on the base (10), a protecting mechanism (14) comprises a cover plate (141) retained in the cover (12) and a bottom plate (142) retained in the base (10), a cam actuator (16) rotatably assembled to the base (10), the cover (12) and the protecting mechanism (14) for actuating the cover (12) to slid on the base (10), the base (10) comprises one or more block members (1011) extending upwardly, the bottom plate (142) defines a second through hole (1421), when assembled, the block member (1011) is positioned in the second through hole (1421) and the cam actuator (16) goes through the second through hole (1421).
Abstract:
An electrical connector assembly, for electrically interconnecting an IC package with a printed circuit board, includes a printed circuit board, an electrical connector mounted on the printed circuit board, an IC package mounted in the electrical connector, a heat sink seated on the electrical connector, a backboard located under the printed circuit board and a plurality of first and second elements. The electrical includes an insulative base and a load plate mounted on the insulative base, and the load plate defines a plurality of first holes. The heat sink defines a plurality of second holes, while the printed circuit board defines a plurality of third holes, and the backboard defines a plurality of fourth holes. The first elements are inserted through the first, the third and the fourth holes to fasten the IC package, the electrical connector, the printed circuit board and the backboard together. The second elements fasten the heat sink with the electrical together through the second holes by engaging with the first elements. Accordingly, a reason can be found out easily when the IC package can't work normally.
Abstract:
An electrical connector assembly for electrically connecting an electrical package to a printed circular board, includes an electrical connector mounted on a printed circular board, and a heat dissipating device located upon the electrical package. The heat dissipating device includes a supporting body located upon the electrical connector, two latching pieces retaining the supporting body and heat pipes assembled on the supporting body. The latching piece rivets with the supporting body on a center part thereof, so when one end of the latching pieces is pressed downwardly, the opposite end will not be influenced.
Abstract:
Provided herewith is a CPU socket made of composite configuration of passageways. The Socket includes an insulative housing defining an opening therein. A grid is securely assembled in the opening defining a plurality of passageways for securely receiving a contact terminal therein. The grid includes a plurality of latitudinal partitions, and a plurality of longitudinal partitions orthogonally intersected from each other so as to define the passageway across the opening.
