A method for measuring a distance between a coordinate indicator and a coordinate input device, which belongs to the technical field of computer peripheral equipments. The method comprises the steps of measuring an actual amplitude of an output signal of a receiving coil in the electromagnetic induction plate by a measurement circuit in the electromagnetic induction plate; determining a distance between the coordinate indicator and the coordinate input device in accordance with the actual amplitude of the output signal, a nominal amplitude of the output signal, and a preset reference amplitude of signal. In the present invention, the distance between the coordinate indicator and the coordinate input device is determined by converting an actual amplitude of the output signal of the receiving coil at one time to a nominal amplitude of the output signal normalized by a reference amplitude of signal, which overcomes the defect of the prior art which can not indicate a distance between the coordinate indicator and the coordinate input device.

A control servo includes a supporting frame, a motor, a driving shaft and a control slider. The supporting frame comprises a mount and a slider housing, wherein the motor is supported in the mount of the supporting frame. A driving gear is provided at an output end of the motor. The driving shaft is positioned longitudinally through the slider housing. A driven gear is provided at one end of the driving shaft to mesh with the driving gear. The driving shaft penetrates through the control slider while an upper portion of the control slider extends out of the slider housing. An electric brush is provided underneath the control slider. The control servo eliminates the use a potentiometer as installed in a traditional servo and the reduction gearbox so that the structure is simpler and lighter; thus it plays an important part in the miniaturisation of model aircraft.

A method is disclosed for checking model planes entering into a dive, as well as an anti-dive method and apparatus. The method of checking planes includes installation of a first optical sensor in the upper part of the plane, with installation angle upwardly intersecting with the front of the plane at α degrees, that checks light intensity and outputs a first checked optical signal; installation of a second optical sensor in the bottom part of the plane, with its installation angle downwardly intersecting with the back of the plane at β degrees, which checks light intensity and outputs a second checked optical signal. A comparison is made between the first and second checked optical signals, and when the difference in light intensity is smaller than a threshold, a warning signal is sent out indicating that the plane has entered into a dive.

In a digital signal processing system, a method for selecting a transform function to apply to an input signal based on characteristics of the signal, and for self-adjusting criteria which are used in selecting a transform function to apply to a subsequent signal. Characteristics are obtained from the signal. The characteristics are compared to adjustable criteria which are used in selecting a transform function. Differing criteria are maintained for the different selectable transform functions. A record is maintained of transform functions selected and the particular characteristics that caused the selection. Based on the ability of a transform function to minimally define the coded signal, an inverse transform function is selected to decode the signal. The criteria used in selecting a transform function to apply to a subsequent signal are adjusted based on a quality measure of the decoded signal and the record of selected transform functions.

Techniques for performing combined scaling, filtering, and/or scan conversion are disclosed that reduce the amount of line buffer space required in the overall design of a video processing system. In particular, coefficients from all or a sub-set of the scaling, filtering (smoothing/sharpening), and scan conversion filters are combined into one representative coefficient that can be applied in a single generic algorithm. Thus, implementation costs are reduced, particularly in a system-on-chip implementations.

Comparing with prior art, this disclosure reduces circuit scale by equivalence of linear portion of circuit. Thereby computation amount for circuit simulation is reduced and the computation time for circuit simulation is shortened.
