Abstract:
A method for making an elastic core yarn includes covering an elastic core having a fiber of natural rubber with metric count 200-1000 dtex with a cotton-based covering yarn. The elastic core and the covering yarn are conveyed such that the covering yarn laterally attains a proximity of the elastic core in a wrapping space. The covering yarn is helically wrapped about the elastic core. The conveying speed, and therefore the winding/unwinding speed, is selected such that the elastic core is stretched to a stretching ratio of at least two, and the covering yarn becomes twisted with a final twist direction opposite to its initial twist direction, and forms T coils per length unit of the elastic fiber set between a minimum value T0 and a maximum value T1. An elasticized yarn is thereby obtained, and a fabric, in particular a denim type fabric, is manufactured from this yarn.
Abstract:
A woven, water-vapor permeable, water-responsive, shape-memory wool fabric that possesses switchable pore size and shape responsive to varying water content absorbed thereby is demonstrated, more particularly, the wool fabric exerts corresponding thermal and water vapor regulations between the wearer and the surroundings with respect to the temperature and humidity changes.
Abstract:
A yarn including a plurality of twists formed by twisting single fiber strand or multiple fiber strands; and fiber grooves, which are spaces formed between the twists, to provide three-dimensional growth spaces and migration paths for cells. Accordingly, a cell proliferation rate and cell viability may be enhanced by creating microenvironments suitable for migration, proliferation and differentiation of cultured cells. In addition, cell clusters having more uniform shapes may be easily implemented by forming the proliferation spaces and migration paths for the cultured cells as similar as possible to each other in each scaffold. Further, the cells cultured thereby can be cultured in a suitable shape and structure to be applied to an in vitro experimental model or transplanted into the body of an animal, and can be widely applied in various products used in a cell culture or tissue engineering field.
Abstract:
An apparatus for processing yarns includes a first roller set for extending yarn bean; a node generator installed after the first roller set for forming node section of the yarn beam; a first cleaning chamber installed after the node generator for cleaning the yarn beams; a material chamber for adding additive to the yarn beam; a second roller set installed after the material chamber for extending the yarn beam; a first heating chamber installed after the second roller set for thermally setting additives to the yarn beam so that the additives are firmly secured to the yarn of the yarn beam; a third roller set installed after the heating chamber for controlling the heating time of the yarn beam in the first heating chamber; and a fourth roller set installed after the third roller set for winding the yarn beam to a desired shape.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a cotton-like knitted fabric, a polyester filament and a production method. The fabric is a weft-knitted fabric obtained by material containing at least above 45% by weight of polyester filaments; the pore area distribution of the fabric is centered on 6000 to 22000 μm2 and has a statistical variability of above 2a, and the coefficient of variation of the pore area is greater than 40%. The polyester filament is formed from alternatingly arranged twist regions in a false-twist direction and twist regions in an opposite direction, wherein the twist regions in the false-twist direction have an average length of less than 0.3 cm, a coefficient of variation of length of above 60%, a diameter that is 30% to 70% of the diameter of the twist regions in the opposite direction, and a total length that is 20.0% to 40.0% of the total length of the polyester filaments.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a composite yarn of paper, e.g., traditional Korean paper, and a composite yarn manufactured thereby, a method for manufacturing a fabric using the same and an automotive interior material manufactured thereby. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a composite yarn of traditional Korean paper by using a traditional Korean paper yarn and a synthetic yarn, in which the composite yarn can be used in weaving and knitting, and a method for manufacturing a fabric as an automotive interior material using the same. Accordingly, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a composite yarn of paper, comprising twisting a tape-type paper yarn, and covering the twisted paper yarn as a ground yarn at least two strands of synthetic yarn as an effect yarn to manufacture a composite yarn of paper of 160˜700 denier.
