Abstract:
A push-pull chain actuator (1) comprises a housing with a chain exit/entry opening (4) and a sprocket (2) arranged to engage a push-pull chain (3). The sprocket (2) causes the polygon effect. The actuator comprises a first chain guide part (10a) for guiding said push-pull chain (3) around the sprocket (2) and a second chain guide part (10b) for guiding said push-pull chain (3) at a correct angle between the chain exit/entry opening (4) and the sprocket (2). The second chain guide part (10b) is shaped as a meandering path to counteract the polygon effect. Alternatively, the second chain guide part (10b) can be shaped and dimensioned to reduce chain oscillations caused by the rollers (8c) engaging or disengaging the chain exit/entry opening (4) at the end of the second chain guide part (10b).
Abstract:
A stop member for an operator chain in a chain operator, wherein the operator chain has a width, rivet holes and rivets, constitutes a pin arranged in a rivet hole not occupied by a rivet in the operator chain, wherein the pin has a length exceeding the width of the operator chain. The pin can be cylindrical with a diameter corresponding essentially to that of the rivet hole, and the diameter of the pin can be slightly smaller than that of the rivet hole, so as to be loosely held in the rivet hole.
Abstract:
A rain sensor arrangement for an operator for a window having a frame, a sash pivotable with respect to the frame, and a pane mounted in the sash, wherein the operator is adapted for pivoting the sash between a closed and an open position and vice versa, and is controlled via control circuitry responsive to input signals from at least a rain sensor. The rain sensor has at least one sensing area arranged so as to be protected against rain by the window, when the sash is in the closed position.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle door arrangement with an inside door subassembly which separates a dry space from a wet space and outside space of the door arrangement includes a window pane, a window lifter with an adjustment device for setting the position of the window pane and a seal, which is assigned to the inside door subassembly, for sealing off the dry space with respect to the wet space and the outside space. The adjustment device includes a drive and an adjustment mechanism, which is connected downstream of the drive, in order to transmit the driving torque produced by the drive to the window pane. The entire adjustment mechanism of the window lifter is arranged in the dry space.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a window comprising a window frame and a casement which can be displaced in relation to the window frame, mountings which are arranged between the casement and the window frame and which are used to displace the casement in relation to the window frame, and a handle which is disposed on the casement. The handle comprises control elements and/or sensors and a handle part which can be displaced, particularly rotated, on the casement in various positions of the handle which correspond to different operational positions of the casement. The handle is connected in a wireless manner or via electric lines to electromagnetic or electromechanical locking elements between the casement and the window frame, and/or to electromagnetic or electromechanical functions, in particular coupling elements for at least one or several mountings and/or to an electromechanical drive device which is used to open or close the casement.
Abstract:
A power operating system for opening and closing a vehicle liftgate has a pair of drive units supported on the vehicle roof and connected to the liftgate for opening and closing the liftgate. Each drive unit includes a bracket that is secured to the vehicle body for supporting several parts including a reversible electric motor, a gear unit and a track. The electric motor drives a segmented drive linkage inside the track via a gear reduction unit and a sprocket. The segmented drive linkage includes an elongated arcuate link arm that slides in an arcuate track portion of the track and a power roller chain that is stored in a storage track portion when the liftgate is closed. The outboard end of the link arm is pivotally connected to the liftgate to open and close the liftgate as the link arm is extended and retracted by the power roller chain.
Abstract:
A powered drive assembly for positioning various slidable components within a vehicle interior. The powered drive assembly includes a motor assembly operably coupled to a flexible flocked drive cable which is supported for rotation within a housing. The flocked drive cable provides a helical surface. Specific coupling members are adapted to engage the helical surface and operably couple the drive cable with the slidable component. For example, in one preferred embodiment a coupling bracket operably couples the flocked drive cable to a slidable window assembly of the type used in the rear opening of a pick-up cab for opening and closing the window. In a second preferred embodiment, the coupling member operably couples the drive cable to a curtain assembly located within the interior of an over-the-road truck cab for opening and closing the curtain. The drive assembly further enables the motor assembly to be remotely located from the housing and coupling brackets, thereby facilitating in packaging of the powered drive assembly within the confines of the vehicle interior.
Abstract:
A motorized window operator for opening and closing a window having a mechanical drive system including a rotatable drive axle. A housing contains a motor which is in operative engagement with a gear train having an output gear. The output gear is engageable with an engagement means mounted upon the drive axle of the window. For engaging the output gear train with the engagement means, operation of the motor will rotate the drive axle to either open or close the window according to desire. The gear train is dissengageable from the engagement means which at the same time dissengages power to the motor. The drive axle can then be manually operated.
Abstract:
A door member such as a garage door is driven by a motor through a roller chain having a finite length to travel in the garage opening and closing directions. The roller chain is driven by a single drive sprocket driven by the motor to make its reciprocating movement along the same path while making rolling engagement at its roller portion with a guide rail constructed to support the roller portion of the roller chain from the opposite sides. A trolley connected to the door member by an arm is releasably coupled to the roller chain and is also guided along the guide rail while making sliding engagement therewith. A mechanism for detecting abutment of the door member with an obstruction present on the traveling path is provided to detect the above situation when a physical force is imparted to the roller chain due to the abutment. The opening and closing movement of the door member, stopping of rotation of the motor and detection of the presence of an obstruction are electrically controlled.
Abstract:
A manually operated actuator arrangement includes a pair of actuators mounted forwardly and rearwardly of a swingably mounted vehicle window and connected by a translatable flexible member movable within a flexible conduit for concurrent operation. One actuator is mounted forwardly of the window in a position to be operated by front seat occupants and the other is mounted adjacent the rearward free swinging edge portion of the window and connected thereto by an overcenter type toggle linkage.
