    摘要: The lighting system for an aircraft cabin includes multiple illuminating units for distribution about a cabin. Each illuminating unit includes at least one variable light source providing light of a known characteristic and that is energizeable independently of other illuminating units. A controller controls energization of the illuminating units by way of dimming and switching units associated respectively with the illuminating units. The controller is operable to create different predetermined combinations of energizations of the illuminating units so that a desired lighting scene is created within the cabin by the energized illuminating units. The controller is arranged to effect a gradual transition to the energizations of the illuminating units when changing from one predetermined combination to another. As a result, there is a corresponding gradual change between scenes created in the cabin.

    摘要: A flexible medium for a scrolling color changer and method of making thereof. The medium is made by applying an ink using a Meyer Rod which has varying cell lengths along its length. This leaves varying size cells of ink at different locations along the length of the medium. The ink has special characteristics whereby its evaporation rate and viscosity are carefully controlled. The viscosity is such that an amount of levelling will occur will be equal to the distance between any cells, but that cell to cell levelling will not, in general, occur.

    摘要: Provided is an illumination device in which natural light having a correlated color temperature equivalent to that of artificial light can be obtained so that there is no feeling of physical disorder against the artificial light when the natural light is used in combination with the artificial light for energy saving. In the illumination device, luminous flux of natural light in a visible light range (380 nm-780 nm) is detected by a color temperature sensor in a first light detector portion (8), the correlated color temperature of the natural light is obtained through operation by a first operation portion (9), artificial light is detected by a color temperature sensor in a second light detector portion (10), the correlated color temperature of the artificial light is obtained through operation by a second operation portion (11), and color temperature converting filters are switched by a filter operating portion (14) so that a difference between the correlated color temperature of the natural light and the correlated color temperature of the artificial light obtained through operation by a third operation portion is made equal to or smaller than 5.5 mired to thereby obtain mixed light giving no feeling of physical disorder.

    摘要: A dippable vehicle-headlamp, particularly a car headlamp, which is operative to transmit both ultra-violet and visible light and which includes a light source which is intended to emit both visible and ultra-violet light, a reflector and a filter. The reflector (1) and the light source (2) are intended to transmit simultaneously a light lobe which corresponds to a dipped-beam lobe and a full-beam lobe. The filter (4) is intended to filter-out visible light, but to transmit ultra-violet light. The invention is characterized in that the filter is mounted for displacement from a first position (FIG. 1) in which the filter (4) is located out of the beam path for transmission of the light lobe, to a second position (FIG. 2) in which the filter (4) is located in the beam path for at least that part of the light lobe which constitutes the difference between the full-beam lobe and the dipped-beam lobe, such that when the filter (4) is located in the aforementioned second position solely ultra-violet light will be transmitted in that part of the transmitted light lobe which constitutes the aforementioned difference, whereas both visible light and ultra-violet light will be transmitted in that part of the light lobe which corresponds to a dipped-beam lobe.

    摘要: A color changer system including a pair of slidable color filter plates or a pair of rotatable color filter disks positioned on opposed side of a beam aperture through which a beam of white light passes. The pair of filter plates or filter disks are simultaneously movable or rotatable, respectively, across the beam aperture orthogonal to the beam axis so as to enhance a particular color. The movement of the filter plates or disks are movable into the beam symmetrical to the center of the beam aperture so that distribution of color saturation of the beam is symmetrical about the center of the beam aperture during movement of said first and second color filter means. Progressive variable filtering regions defining a plurality of color enhancing capacities either included diffused color filtering material or dichroic color filtering material. When the dichroic color filtering material is used, alternating clear and dichroic filtering strips are located in each filtering region. When the pair filter plates or filter disks overlap, the clear and dichroic filtering strips of each pair complement so that the lightwaves of the beam are filtered through only one of the pair of plates or strips.
