Abstract:
A device for determining the temperature in the interior of a vehicle (12) comprises a temperature sensor (30) for arrangement behind a wall (18) adjacent the interior, and a processing unit (82) receiving the measuring signal from the temperature sensor (30) and outputting an output signal representing the temperature in the interior (10) of the vehicle (12). Further, it is provided with a thermal conductor element (36, 36null) for sensing the temperature of the air in the interior (10) in the region close to the wall, the thermal conductor element (36, 36null) being in thermally conductive contact with the temperature sensor (30) and being provided to extend up to or close to the wall (18) or through an opening (38) in the wall (18).
Abstract:
A sensor-plug for insertion into a drier bottle of an automotive condenser. The sensor-plug is a unitary piece and positioned within the drier bottle to eliminate the use of a separate sensor on the opposite side of the condenser.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for simultaneously measuring interior temperature and fine dust in a vehicle. The apparatus measures interior temperature of a vehicle and fine dust in the air simultaneously by controlling flow rate of the interior air through a structure for changing air flow rate and making a division between a temperature sensing region and a dust sensing region based on a flow rate difference that occurs based on the structure for changing air flow rate.

Abstract:
A method for determining ambient air temperature outside of a vehicle with a sensor mounted on the vehicle, includes the steps of determining a road speed of the vehicle, comparing the determined road speed to a reference road speed value, if the determined road speed is below the reference road speed value, activating a device to move ambient air across the sensor, the ambient air being drawn from a location outside the vehicle, taking a temperature reading with the sensor, and, if the temperature reading is lower than a stored temperature value, storing the lower temperature reading as the ambient air temperature.
Abstract:
A vehicle meter apparatus has a judging section that judges whether an automatic air conditioner purpose ambient temperature sensor is provided by comparing an input signal value inputted from an automatic air conditioner to an input section with a set threshold value and judges whether a display purpose ambient temperature sensor is provided by comparing the input signal value inputted from the display purpose ambient temperature sensor with the set threshold value when an internal power supply is supplied to input section and a display output section which displays an ambient temperature external to the vehicle on a second display section on a basis of a temperature detection signal from either of these sensors in a case where the judging section judges that the automatic air conditioner ambient temperature sensor is provided and in a case where the judging section judges that the display purpose ambient temperature is provided.
Abstract:
A temperature sensor supporting device includes a supporting body having first and second groove portions, a separation preventive part, and a pair of harnesses connected to a temperature sensor. The first groove portion is set to have such a groove width size as to permit clamping of proximal end parts of the harnesses inward of the supporting body when the proximal end parts are viewed as a single overlapping line from a first angle. The second groove portion is set to have such a groove width size as to permit clamping of intermediate parts of the harnesses inward of the supporting body when the intermediate parts are viewed as two lines from a second angle. The proximal end parts and the intermediate parts are clamped respectively in the first and second groove portions so that the sensor is positioned and fixed with the sensor disposed outside the supporting body.
Abstract:
A method and system for detecting a low charge condition in an air conditioner for a vehicle. The system first determines whether noise factors are present that would interfere with reliably measuring a pressure delta. If noise factors are not present, the system determines a pressure delta value for the compressor by comparing the high side pressure when the clutch is engaged to a high side pressure when the clutch is disengaged. If the pressure delta value is less than a threshold value, a low charge condition may be recorded. When the number of low charge conditions detected exceeds a predetermined number of events, the system may set a temperature diagnostic trouble code, disable the air conditioning system and alert the driver of a potential problem.
Abstract:
A sensor plug for pressure and temperature measurement of a fluid medium includes a sensor body having a sensor body axis, as well as a pressure sensor disposed substantially concentrically on the sensor body axis. Also provided in the sensor body is a through orifice for connecting the pressure sensor to the fluid medium, and a temperature sensing element orifice having a temperature sensing element received therein. The temperature sensing element orifice has a temperature sensing element orifice axis that is inclined with respect to the sensor body axis in such a way that at its end pointing toward the fluid medium, it is inclined toward the sensor body axis.
