    摘要: A level indicator for displaying the decibel values of digital samples of an analog signal with respect to a reference value, each sample having a predetermined number of bits. The indicator comprises a shift register having a smaller bit capacity than the number of bits in the digital signals and for which, a resolution of 2dB, comprises three series-connected flip-flops. The digital signals are applied to the input of the first flip-flop and, together with the outputs of all the flip-flops, to a combinational logic circuit. The output of the last flip-flop is connected to a read-enable circuit. As each bit of a digital signal is shifted into the shift register, the logic circuit generates a logic signal from combination of the output signals of the flip-flops and such digital signal bit, the value of such logic signal indicating how many times a predetermined decibel amount should be applied to the value stored in the shift register in order to attenuate it to the reference value. An adder adds the value of such logic signal to the value of the logic signal previously produced by the logic circuit in response to the preceding bit of the digital signal, and the resulting sum is stored in a memory. When the number of digital signal bits in the shift register reaches the capacity of the shift register, the sum then in the memory is transferred to a read-out device by the read-enable circuit.

    摘要: A voltage signal associated with the moisture content of a sample in grain or sand form is converted into a digital signal value by an analog-to-digital converter. A programmable read-only memory capable of erasure and field rewriting has stored therein conditions for computation and calibration parameters associated with various types of the sample. Upon designation of one of the types, the conditions for computation for the designated type of sample are picked up, and a moisture content is computed and digitally indicated by use of the computation parameters for the designated sample type. This moisture content value can be compensated for temperature, and the conditions for computation and the calibration parameters in EPROM are capable of being erased or rewritten.

    摘要: Disclosed is the physical construction and electrical control circuit of a fault indicator designed to provide a watertight structure for the indicator. One face of the indicator is visible through the sealing apparatus, the sealing apparatus enclosing the structure on all sides other than the indicator face side. The indicator is capable of being submerged and will withstand a water pressure of 8 psig to meet specifications established by electric utilities. The electrical control circuit normally causes the transformer to operate below its saturation level resulting in quick response to changes in input current, and providing improved temperature stability of the control circuit.

    摘要: A range switching circuit is comprised of a DC amplifier to which is supplied an electric signal to be recorded, a plurality of resistances corresponding to respective digit places within an entire recording range, and a range switching device for selectively connecting the resistances to a feedback path to the DC amplifier. A logarithmic characteristic generating circuit includes a logarithmic potentiometer to produce an output in accordance with the change in the level of the input signal. The outputs from the range switching circuit and the logarithmic characteristic generating circuit are delivered to a comparison circuit, which then produces an output corresponding to the difference therebetween. A servomotor responsive to the output from the comparison circuit drives the aforesaid range switching device and logarithmic potentiometer. A rotary switch is also driven by the servomotor to actuate a relay circuit for controlling the operation of the range switching device, which operates a writing mechanism to record the electric signal.
