    摘要: A left-handed material extended interaction klystron includes: an input cavity, a middle cavity, an output cavity, first-section drift tube and a second-section drift tube; wherein the input cavity, the middle cavity and the output cavity are all cylindrical resonant cavities having arrays of Complementary electric Split-Ring Resonator (CeSRR) unit cells provided therein; wherein a first side of the input cavity is an input channel of an electron beam, a second side connects the middle cavity via the first-section drift tube; a first T-shaped coaxial input structure is provided in the input cavity; a first side of the output cavity is for connecting a collector, a second side of the output cavity connects the middle cavity via the second-section drift tube, a second T-shaped coaxial output structure is provided in the output cavity.

The anode body and the vanes are formed as one unit for simplification of a fabrication process.

    摘要: An anode structure of the present invention provides radially disposed first vanes and radially disposed second vanes interdigitating with the first vanes. The first vanes and the second vanes are each interconnected by a first strap and a second strap, respectively. The first strap and the second strap are disposed coaxially on the same side of the vane structure and are generally rectangular in cross-section, having substantially parallel facing surfaces. Each of the vanes is generally T-shaped, with a relatively wide first portion and a relatively narrow second portion. The first portion is disposed proximate to an axis of the cavity with the second portion extending radially outward therefrom. The first portion has a radially tapered region extending to an innermost edge of the vanes, disposed completely within a diameter defined by an innermost one of said vanes.

Accordingly the magnetron device operates with high efficiency, is compact and produces a relatively low level of noise.

    摘要: An anode assembly of a magnetron includes an anode cylinder and a plurality of anode vanes arranged in the cylinder. The cylinder has a plurality of projections protruding from the inner surface thereof. A connecting end portion of each vane is engaged with the inner surface of the cylinder and located between the corresponding projections. The connecting end portion is mechanically fixed to the inner surface of the cylinder by caulking the projections, and electrically connected to the cylinder by soldering. In manufacturing of the assembly, the vanes are fixed to the cylinder by caulking the projections while they are positioned with respect to the cylinder by a positioning jig. Then, the vanes and cylinder are soldered to each other after removing the positioning jig from the assembly.

    摘要: A magnetron includes inner and outer strap rings for providing a linkage among vanes which are disposed inside of an anode cylinder. The inner and outer strap rings have their diameters determined such that their algebraic mean is 1.75-1.95 times the diameter of an interaction space defined by the inner tips of the vanes. The magnetron structure achieves a significant leakage supression effect against spurious microwaves, particularly the fifth harmonic.
