摘要: A cylindrical film for use with an image heating apparatus includes a plurality of heat generating elements configured to generate heat by a flow of a current, in which each of the heat generating elements has a ring shape and is arranged along a longitudinal direction of the film; a ring-shaped insulating portion configured to electrically insulate the heat generating elements adjacent to each other; and a heat conductive layer different from a layer of the heat generating elements with respect to a thickness direction of the film, The heat conductive layer is 3 W/mK or more in thermal conductivity and overlaps with the heat generating elements with respect to the longitudinal direction.

摘要: A method and system are disclosed for treating a press hardened part by induction heating localized areas of the part to have reduced hardness. The method and system monitor an ambient temperature, cycle time, outgoing part property requirements, and outgoing part hardness in local areas. A time value and temperature value are set by a computer system for a plurality of induction heaters. A local area of the part is induction heated to soften the part in localized areas. The hardness of the localized areas is tested after induction heating.

The apparatus calculates the temperature of the roll main body using an AC current value obtained by an AC current detecting part, an AC voltage value obtained by an AC voltage detecting part, a power factor obtained by a power factor detecting part, a winding resistance value of the winding, and an excitation resistance obtained from characteristics of a relationship between a magnetic flux density and an excitation resistance of a magnetic circuit including the iron core and the roll main body as parameters.

摘要: One embodiment of a heated nozzle for extruding meltable material consists of an electrically conductive nozzle, comprised of an inlet, an outlet, and a passage connecting inlet and outlet. The nozzle fits into a hole or gap cut or formed through a loop of high permeability soft magnetic material such as ferrite or pressed iron powder. Electrically conductive wire is coiled around and through this magnetic loop to form a coil. A high-frequency alternating current is supplied to the coil, inducing a magnetic field in the magnetic core. The magnetic field, when passing through the electrically conductive nozzle, induces eddy currents that heat the nozzle to melt the material entering the inlet.
