摘要: Management of access to stored data in a storage system is provided, including assignment of a first storage processor as a leader storage processor and a second storage processor as a follower storage processor. The leader storage processor is configured to manage data storage operations on a predefined memory portion of the storage system, and the follower storage processor is configured to manage data storage operations in response to a failure of the leader storage processor. The management further includes detecting failure of the first storage processor that interrupts the management of the data storage operations, assigning, responsive to the detection of the failure, the second storage processor as a new leader storage processor configured to resume the management of the operations, and assigning a third storage processor as a new follower processor configured to manage the data storage operations on the predefined memory portion.

摘要: Placement scenario optimization mechanisms for automatic placement of computing entities onto nodes of a running multi-node computing cluster. A set of failure mode parameters define a high-availability requirement of the multi-node computing cluster. In advance of a failure event, and responsive to a determination that a then-current computing entity placement does not satisfy the high-availability requirement, the cluster is analyzed and a plurality of feasible placement scenarios are generated. Optimization criteria are applied to the feasible placement scenarios such that a best choice from among the feasible placement scenarios is identified and applied to the virtual machine placements over the cluster. A change monitoring and detection facility continually observes the multi-node computing cluster to detect a change of a failure mode parameter or to detect a change to the configuration of the virtual machines. Certain of such changes cause feasible placement scenarios to be generated, evaluated, selected, and applied.

摘要: One example method includes copying selected backup data from a secondary storage system to a provisioned primary storage volume, creating a snapshot of the primary storage volume, using the snapshot to create a thin clone volume, masking the thin clone volume, and mounting the thin clone volume, and recovering the backup data from the thin clone volume. The recovered backup data may be made available to a secondary workload that includes an enterprise application.

摘要: Systems and methods related to prediction-based resource orchestration in a service fabric are described. An example method for reducing an interruption rate associated with a customer application offered as a collection of services includes predicting one or more quiet time periods associated with each of the service replicas associated with a service fabric, where each of the one or more quiet time periods corresponds to a low value of a predicted load specifying a consumption of a metric by a respective service replica on a given node. The method further includes during the one or more quiet time periods predicted by a trained machine learning model, performing an impact-less failover for one or more of the service replicas by scheduling a move for the one or more service replicas from a first node associated with the service fabric to a second node associated with the service fabric.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed relating to maintaining a high availability (HA) database. In some embodiments, a computer system receives, from a plurality of host computers, a plurality of requests to access data stored in a database implemented using a plurality of clusters. In some embodiments, the computer system responds to the plurality of requests by accessing data stored in an active cluster. The computer system may then determine, based on the responding, health information for ones of the plurality of clusters, wherein the health information is generated based on real-time traffic for the database. In some embodiments, the computer system determines, based on the health information, whether to switch from accessing the active cluster to accessing a backup cluster. In some embodiments, the computer system stores, in respective clusters of the database, a changeover decision generated based on the determining.

摘要: Various embodiments are directed to techniques for coordinating at least partially parallel performance and cancellation of data access commands between nodes of a storage cluster system. An apparatus may include a processor component of a first node coupled to a first storage device storing client device data; an access component to perform replica data access commands of replica command sets on the client device data, each replica command set assigned a set ID; a communications component to analyze a set ID included in a network packet to determine whether a portion of a replica command set in the network packet is redundant, and to reassemble the replica command set from the portion based if the portion is not redundant; and an ordering component to provide the communications component with set IDs of replica command sets of which the access component has fully performed the set of replica data access commands.

摘要: Indexing preferences generally associate each data source with a type of indexing technology and/or with an index/catalog and/or with a computing device that hosts the index/catalog for tracking backup data generated from the source data. Indexing preferences govern which index/catalog receives transaction logs for a given storage operation. Thus, indexing destinations are defined granularly and flexibly in reference to the source data. Load balancing without user intervention assures that the various index/catalogs are fairly distributed in the illustrative backup systems by autonomously initiating migration jobs. Criteria for initiating migration jobs are based on past usage and going-forward trends. An illustrative migration job re-associates data sources with a different destination media agent and/or index/catalog, including transferring some or all relevant transaction logs and/or indexing information from the old host to the new host.

A first policy that defines allocation of hardware resources to host the virtual network functions can be obtained, as can a second policy that defines deployment of the virtual network functions to the hardware resources. The hardware resources can be allocated based upon the first policy and the virtual network functions can be deployed to the hardware resources based upon the second policy.

摘要: An electronic apparatus includes a display; an input interface including a first high-speed multimedia interface (HDMI) port configured to connect to a first source device, and a second HDMI port configured to connect to a second source device; and at least one processor operatively connected with the display and the input interface, wherein a first switching device is provided in a first consumer electronic control (CEC) line corresponding to the first HDMI port, and a second switching device is provided in a second CEC line corresponding to the second HDMI port, and wherein the at least one processor is configured to: control, based on a malfunction associated with a CEC function being identified from the first source device or the second source device, the display to display a user interface (UI) for turning off the CEC function, and turn off the CEC function by separately controlling at least one of the first switching device or the second switching device based on a user command received through the UI.

摘要: A device, system, and/or method includes an internal circuit configured to perform at least one function, an input-output terminal set and a repair circuit. The input-output terminal set includes a plurality of normal input-output terminals connected to an external device via a plurality of normal signal paths and at least one repair input-output terminal selectively connected to the external device via at least one repair signal path. The repair circuit repairs at least one failed signal path included in the normal signal paths based on a mode signal and fail information signal, where the mode signal represents whether to use the repair signal path and the fail information signal represents fail information on the normal signal paths. Using the repair circuit, various systems adopting different repair schemes may be repaired and cost of designing and manufacturing the various systems may be reduced.
